Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing to Beginners The issue with the conflicting message on the image and sticker on the jack is that Legrand didn’t bother to explain it . Actually both are right depending on which wiring standard that you use. The image is displaying T568A but in most installations you will be using T568B wiring standard. So, where they have orange you will use the green wires. Where they have green you will put the orange wires. Follow the color sequence for “B”. Legrand probably should have use an image displaying B since that is what most people would be using.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible, conflicting documentation Just bought a couple bags of Legrand cat5 things from Lowe's, and went to connect some cables. The color coding stamped onto the connectors has two pairs of wires totally reversed from the picture they show on the instructions!!! On the connector, it has Orange, Orange/White, Blue, Blue/White, while the packaging instructions clearly has Orange/White, Orange, Blue/White, Blue. At least the brown, brown/white, green, green/white are the same on both. Photos of each are attached. Perhaps it doesn't matter if these two pairs are done in reverse, but I certainly don't know, and therefore I cannot proceed in the face of blatantly conflicting documentation. So, now my easy Sunday evening project has to wait until Monday when I can call the company to ask which one of these is correct (and hope they actually know which is right), putting me another day behind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color Codes Same as previous review, bought the connector, wired as per the color codes on the back of the connector and it did not work. Then looked at the color codes on the package, and they don't match. Searched the website for 30 minutes to get a third opinion, but cannot find any diagrams or wiring guides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor I went a got this same connector yesterday at Lowe's. Even after looking at it in the store it still did not make sense how to wire it up. But thinking it might Make more sense when I get it home I got it anyway. Well that was a bad decision. Got home and trying to see how this is going to to wire up. Well inside the connector the color code were the same. Blue blue strip , green , green strip. Even looking at the bank of the package. Did help a little. But that did not work. So no big deal right. We got the web. Got to looking and find you guys are having the same problem. After reading all the post and looking for a answer from the OEM. Thinking I found something. Well that did not work either. I just want my money back. So will be going back to Lowe's and try. Poor product and poor support.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No expert, but I bought one of these at Menard's, and the color codes in between the punch blocks don't match up with instructions I've seen. Starting from block 1 it should be orange strike/solid orange; green stripe/solid blue; blue stripe/solid green; and brown stripe/solid brown. Although minor, the color codes don't show blue. It's some sort or purple. Plus, in the diagram sticker on the insert, some of the colors are covered up by the illustrated wiring. Not good. I could post a photo but it would be the same as the others.

Questions & Answers

Does the Legrand adorne keystone insert fit in a Legrand On-Q keystone wall plate?

Asked by: Mick
yes, the parts are identical in shape and size.

Did anyone figure out which diagram to use? The diagram on the insert shows one thing, and the packaging shows another. Which is it?

Asked by: Dan-dan
ejraleman is correct. In simple terms...ignore the package diagram. When looking at inside of jack, the diagram shows 4 rows labled A-B-B-A in the middle between the color columns on right and left. The 2 center rows are B. Ignore the top and bottom (A rows) and connect utilizing the 2 middle rows (B). Easy stuff once you understand that.
