Legrand | Ortronics has developed comprehensive certification programs to ensure the best project design and installation services.
Certified Installer Program
Legrand | Ortronics has the most selective program worldwide. The best installers in the industry are selected for the installer program. Each Certified Installer company must meet and maintain the minimum training requirements:
1 project manager attends a 2-day management certification course
30% of technicians successfully complete a 1-day copper and fiber installation course

What is the Legrand Design Program (LDP)?
The Legrand Design Program (LDP) is a comprehensive engineering program geared toward architects, designers, engineers and consultants.
LDP is designed to empower participants to deliver high-quality, leading-edge communications system designs by providing the highest level of technology support, including industry updates.
The program is in sync with the construction industry. All LDP participants are updated on the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) format.
All LDP participants are required to attend a one day Technology Seminar that covers the following topics:
- Industry Standards: IEEE, TIA/EIA, NEC
- Emerging technology: VOIP, PoE, 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper
- Data center STD 942 & data center design considerations
- Optical fiber & copper testing requirements
- Communication specification writing practices
All LDP participants receive BICSI CECs and a technology binder that contains:
- Technology presentations
- Testing requirements
- Ortronics product catalogs & new product updates
- Technology specifications
The LDP program also provides the information for seamless integration of Ortronics, Wiremold and Cablofil products to ensure a clean, neat, cost effective, and coordinated communications system.
The LDP program provides a technology overview of the communications industry, and enhances working relationships between Ortronics, Wiremold, Cablofil and each LPD participant.
