Legrand Launches Comprehensive Web Resource

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (November 4, 2009) – Legrand, the world specialist in products and systems for electrical installations and information networks, is launching a comprehensive new web site to provide users with a single resource for the complete range of solutions offered in North America. This new resource builds upon all of the tools, information and solutions offered at the current web sites of Cablofil, On-Q, Ortronics, Pass & Seymour and Wiremold, and brings them together under one site.

“This resource is designed to be better, with more information, greater access and availability, and intelligent systems that give customers the guidance and support they need,” said Stephen Schoffstall, Vice President of Marketing, Legrand North America. “Customers will still find the same great information from the individual sites, but now they’ll have access to all Legrand products and solutions in one convenient destination.”

Located at www.legrand.us and www.legrand.ca, for the United States and Canada respectively, the new resource is designed to be just as useful and relevant for end customers as for electrical and information network industry professionals.

With its focus on the end customer, advanced product, application and educational tools on the new site make it easier to do business with Legrand. Offering more than 10,000 products in 45 categories, and over 85 solutions across 14 application areas, Legrand demonstrates its commitment to innovation and understanding of customer needs.

Hundreds of courses, online training, certification and continuing education options are offered to support Legrand partners, ensure quality installations and deliver better performance. All Legrand customers will benefit from the real-time recommendations on related products and systems, training and additional resources across all the product lines. Professional customers who build systems can instantly find the information across product lines and build their specifications quickly. End customers can explore solutions designed for their homes or offices and easily locate a professional to assist with their projects.

Legrand recently announced its strategic branding initiative in North America. The company will establish its worldwide trusted brand on behalf of all current brands and partners to build awareness of what’s possible in product categories, generating interest and demand from end customers.

“Current North American brands are recognized assets that our professional customers connect with everyday,” Schoffstall said. “They will play a vital role in strengthening the Legrand brand over the coming years and will remain as product range names.”

Renowned for its inventive, dependable and stylish products, the Legrand brand is present in more than 180 countries and has a workforce of over 30,000 people. With a clear focus on electrical and information networks and applications, Legrand is passionate about improving systems and networks wherever people live and work. Legrand products and technology can be found in every building type from homes, to schools, to commercial buildings, to government facilities.
