Legrand Announces 2012 Supplier of the Year Award Winners

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., July 18, 2013 - Legrand, a global leader in electrical and data infrastructure solutions, announced the winners of the 2012 Legrand Supplier of the Year Awards – a celebration of superior delivery, quality, responsiveness and cost. New this year was the “Supplier of the Year Award for Sustainability” that honored its suppliers on their commitment to sustainable practices.

Legrand suppliers provide materials that support the manufacturing of its more than 50,000 products that improve the control of power, light and data. For the last six years, Legrand’s more than 3,000 suppliers have been eligible to receive the title of “Supplier of the Year”. This year, nine companies were awarded this honor for their overall performance and strengthening relationship with the company. Recipients include Leggett & Platt Inc., Shrink Packaging Systems, RockTenn, US Weico Manufacturing, Unique Industrial, Future Electronics, Lee Manufacturing, Alliance Fiber Optic Products Inc. and E&E Steel.

Sustainability is a subject with high importance to Legrand as evident in its commitment to improving energy efficiency. The assessment and recognition of supplier commitment to environmentally responsible practices, health and safety programs and knowledge of overall supply chain efficiency helps the company to build lasting relationships with like-minded corporations. Canon, MotoCraft Enterprises, Surtec and Neiman Reed Lumber were each recognized with Legrand’s Supplier of the Year Award for Sustainability.
