Electrorack to Exhibit at 2012 SCTE Cable-tec Expo in Orlando

Anaheim, CA - October 15, 2012 - Electrorack is pleased to announce it will be exhibiting at booth #421 at this year's SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® in Orlando, Florida. On display will be the BarracudaTM line of enclosures built specifically for the cable industry, as well as infrastructure to address the emergence of IT-based video platforms.

"The growth in digital broadcasting continues as viewers switch from traditional analog to the digital broadcast, Internet Protocol (IP), web and mobile sectors," said Todd Schneider, Director of Marketing at Electrorack. "In the IPTV sector alone, there was a 30 percent growth from 2010 to 2011, with 50 million subscribers globally. This trend means that broadcasters are now facing the same types of issues that were once limited to data center environments, which include heat, power, and space, among other areas of concern."

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo® - the industry's engineering show of the year - will be held at the Orange County Convention Center on October 17-19, 2012. It provides access to the latest in cable technology, products and services through robust technical workshops; hundreds of hands-on, technology-focused exhibits; specialized pavilions; international offerings; and key networking opportunities. Thousands of cable professionals from 50+ countries gather each year for one cost-effective learning experience - don't miss out!

In addition to the Barracuda line of enclosures, built specifically to accommodate varying-depth equipment, intelligent power for remote sites, and dynamic cable management, Electrorack will also be showcasing its aisle containment system, and a white cabinet, which is designed to reduce lighting requirements, and therefore, energy use.
