Legrand Reaffirms Commitment To Cisco Digital Ceiling Framework
NEW YORK, NY, November 10, 2016 —With the launch of its ELIOT program to advance IOT connectivity and intelligence in the Built Environment and enhance value in the use of connected devices, Legrand North and Central America today reaffirmed its commitment to Cisco’s Digital Ceiling Framework. Legrand is a global leader in resilient digital building infrastructures and partners with like-minded global organizations to help enterprises embrace IoT, connect building services via a single converged IP network, and realize significant gains in organizational productivity, efficiency and sustainability.
“Convergence between the electrical domain and other diverse disciplines including IT is resulting in smarter buildings becoming seamlessly and securely connected,” said John Selldorff, Chief Executive Officer of Legrand North and Central America. “This means enterprises — beyond the buildings — will be easier to manage, more efficient and more productive. Buildings and campuses will be healthier, safer and more comfortable!”
Earlier this year Cisco announced the Digital Ceiling Framework, a new initiative to change the way buildings and services are connected and managed. In June, Legrand joined the Digital Ceiling Framework as an ecosystem partner to help enterprise customers transform their buildings.
Legrand serves as an infrastructure enabler, providing resilient digital building communication and connectivity solutions to ensure the highest performance and reliability of cabling systems. The framework objective revolves around the convergence of previously disparate networks, enabling a greater level of building intelligence by leveraging the information from other devices not previously connected. With the Eliot program, Legrand looks to further support this framework beyond infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
