Offering Includes Line’s First Soundbar, Flexible New Player Portfolio Model and Android-Driven In-Wall Touch Screen

DALLAS, September 14, 2016 – Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, is offering a preview of upcoming Nuvo Player Portfolio products at CEDIA 2016 that expand the flexibility of the company’s whole home audio system. These models include the P500 soundbar and subwoofer combo, P4300 Player and P30 touch pad.

“We’ve designed the Nuvo Player Portfolio system specifically for professional installations; paying attention to details such as power & quality amplification, architecture for installation, and most importantly, open access for easy integration with other control solutions such as Crestron and Control4,” said Fritz Werder, Legrand VP/general manager, On-Q and Nuvo product lines. “We’re really excited about the addition of these three new products to the Nuvo system and are already getting a tremendous response from those who have had early peeks at these products.”

The P500 is a Soundbar AND a Multi-Room Audio Player

The P500 soundbar with sub combination performs double duty as a robust audio source for TVs and an audio player for Player Portfolio streaming services. It is a powerful 2.1 audio system with an eight-inch wireless subwoofer that provides excellent sound quality for music and movies. These listening experiences are enhanced by four audio modes—movie, music, voice and night mode.

A sleek industrial design, with a metal grill and white backlit touch panel, plus a neatly hidden inside power supply make the P500 an attractive addition to any room in the home.

The P500 is sold with a remote control, but can also be operated by the Nuvo Player app, or other controllers, such as those sold with set top boxes, thanks to its built in IR learning function. As with any of the Player portfolio products, the P500 can be controlled by the Nuvo NV-P10-XX keypads or by many of the control systems offered by Legrand’s partners, such as Control4, Crestron, RTI and URC.

The Nuvo P500 soundbar will be available in November.

New Player Portfolio Boasts Power and Flexibility

The Player Portfolio P4300 is the latest generation of the Player Portfolio line with a three source, three amplifier design that consistently delivers the highest quality audio with 100 Watts of power via its efficient Class D amplifiers. The P4300 also incorporates powerful DSP for every zone to allow for the tailoring of speakers.

The P4300 is the first in the line to have a backlit touchscreen to display configuration information, system status and zone names to enhance ease of installation. A new industrial design positions vents to the sides for  single rack mounting.

The Nuvo P4300 Player will be available in November.

Touch Screen Combines Great Looks and Convenience

The Nuvo P30 Touch Screen system controller is a fully functioning seven-inch Android tablet housed in a custom enclosure that runs the existing Player Portfolio app. It offers the flexibility and convenience of both handheld and on-wall control options.

The on-wall option, which keeps the touch screen in a fixed location, is particularly convenient for muting or lowering volume quickly when there's a knock at the door, or allowing immediate access to favorite sources without needing to locate a phone or other device to launch the app.

In addition to looking great, the Nuvo P30 installs easily into a wide array of wall boxes, from 45x45mm up to a US double gang box. Its connection to the Player Portfolio system is made via a single RJ45 802.11af POE connection.

The Nuvo P30 touch screen will be available in December.
