New Audio Product Doubles Multi-Room Audio Capacity

Harrisburg, PA, August 19, 2008 - On-Q/Legrand, the leader in home systems, announced today the launch of its new lyriQ Zone Expander, an exciting addition to the company's exceptional line of audio products. The Zone Expander, along with an additional Four Source, Eight Zone Distribution Module, doubles the number of zones in a lyriQ Multi-Source System from eight to a maximum of 16, delivering unprecedented flexibility to lyriQ audio installations.

The device, which features connections via RJ45 jacks, distributes analog audio signals to two Four-Source, Eight-Zone Distribution Modules. This enables an installer to create a system of up to 16 audio zones, with the ability to add four rooms of audio to each zone by cascading single-source modules. The Zone Expander also allows easy integration with On-Q's Broadcast and Selective Call Intercom Systems.

The Zone Expander effortlessly increases capacity without sacrificing audio quality. Homeowners will experience crisp, clear lyriQ audio with the Zone Expander due to built-in buffering with active circuitry. Active circuitry reduces signal loss when the audio and control signals are divided. The buffering enables the Zone Expander to reproduce full amplitude signals for delivery to each of the multi-source modules. In addition, power for the device is transmitted over the Cat 5 cable, eliminating the need for additional power supplies.

"As with the entire lyriQ line, the Zone Expander focuses on improving flexibility and features while maintaining stellar audio performance," says Christine Filowiak, On-Q/Legrand Product Manager."We're excited to offer our installers a simple and cost effective way to maximize the capacity of their audio installs, especially for customers with larger homes."

The lyriQ Zone Expander is available now.
