Harrisburg, PA, March 13, 2009 - On-Q/Legrand, the leader in home systems, announced today that it has won the 2009 Mark of Excellence Award for its training program; presented by the TechHome Division of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). CEA's Mark of Excellence Awards honored On-Q's training and support program for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend-setting custom home services. Award entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and submitted in two categories: Supplier and Systems Integrators.
On-Q recently overhauled its installation training programs, soliciting suggestions from installer customers to make the trainings as efficient and effective as possible. The result was On-Q University, a training program designed to enable each installer to get the exact training they need to execute their specific job. Whether it's role-playing a sales presentation to a homebuyer, or terminating cable and configuring a system, students of On-Q University will get the practice and interaction they need to ensure their success.
"We are thrilled to receive this honor from the CEA," said Terry Baker, director of training for the Home Systems Division of Legrand. "We are very proud of On-Q University because of the positive impact it has made on our customers by addressing their training needs and expectations."
On-Q's training and support program was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Dinner in conjunction with the tenth annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2009.
Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Awards categories has a four-member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.
