Legrand Unveils New On-Q Bookshelf Speakers to Complement Nuvo Player Portfolio

Cross-Brand Strategy Provides Glimpse of Future Opportunities

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., June 25, 2014 – Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, has introduced On-Q speakers specifically designed to complement the Nuvo Player Portfolio’s P100 and P200 players.   The Legrand Contemporary 5.25” Stereo Bookshelf Speakers offer an attractive, high fidelity home audio solution, combining a sleek, contemporary cabinet with two-way performance to match the specs and aesthetics of the Nuvo Player Portfolio.  The introduction of Legrand’s new speakers also offers a glimpse into the company’s potential for cross-brand development between its different product lines.

“The focus of Legrand is to deliver solutions,” said Fritz Werder, vice president and GM for Legrand’s Nuvo and On-Q product lines. “  With more than a dozen market-leading product lines throughout North America, we are able to elevate the user experience by providing the highest degrees of form, function, and flexibility.”

According to Werder, offering customers a rich audio experience by providing speakers that accentuate the exceptional performance quality the Nuvo Player Portfolio has become known for, as well as complementing the system’s rich, contemporary aesthetics, illustrates the unique value Legrand brings through truly superior solutions.  “Regardless of how they are used,” said Werder, “these speakers look and sound fantastic when used as a match-up product or as speakers for any other system.”

Each Legrand Contemporary speaker (model # MS65265) combines a 5.25” woofer with a ½” soft dome tweeter in a sleek, high gloss black finish.  Each also incorporates an acoustic isolation pad to deliver rich, clear sound, as well as provide surface placement protection and stability.

The new speakers are compact for the performance they deliver, measuring 11” high, 8.5” deep, 7.5” wide, and weighing 2.5 lbs. each.  Each is rated to handle 50 Watt RMS, and offer a frequency response of 50 Hz – 20 KHz, +/- 3dB.  Each pair carries an MSRP of $275 and is available now through any authorized reseller of Legrand’s On-Q product line.
