Legrand Gives Intallers a Glimpse Into On-Q's Plans for the Near Future

DALLAS, October 15, 2015 Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, will offer installers a sneak peak here at the 2015 CEDIA Expo (Booth 5142) at some important On-Q products slated to be introduced in the upcoming months that are designed to bolster home security.

“While we usually don’t like showing our cards too early,” said Fritz Werder, Legrand’s VP & general manager for its On-Q and Nuvo lines, “we also felt that CEDIA was the place where we should let our customers know what they’d be seeing from us in the near future. So we decided to go all-in."

Recognizing the rising interest in home security and its importance to their dealers’ portfolio of product offerings, the company will be previewing a new outdoor IR Dome Camera designed for operation in areas of total darkness. When triggered by motion sensors, the camera sends e-mail alerts with snapshot images. Users can then log into the camera via a new On-Q IP Camera App and observe what’s occurring via live feeds from the camera.

Because of the importance of having a record of events, On-Q will also be showing a new NVR (network video recorder) that can power and record from up to four IP cameras. Designed specifically for residential use, the new NVR is easily configurable through a web-based interface. It offers HDMI connection to a four-camera HDTV display, and users can also set recording schedules and views through convenient mobile app.
