Legrand Debuts Home Automation Platform at CEDIA

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., August 25, 2015 – At CEDIA, Legrand (www.legrand.us), the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, will offer CEDIA installers their first live demonstration of Intuity, the company’s new home automation platform designed for the production homebuilder market. Intuity gives installers and builders a cost-effective, modular, and repeatable solution for controlling entertainment, security, and comfort within a home.

“Intuity presents CEDIA installers with a tremendous opportunity to capitalize on a segment of the market that is growing and will only continue to do so,” said Fritz Werder, VP & general manager for the company’s On-Q and Nuvo lines. “Since our initial announcement of Intuity in July, we’ve received inquiries from more than 200 homebuilders. And that’s because buyers of new homes - even medium-priced homes - expect a certain level of technology to be included.”

Intuity is a modular, easy-to-sell home ecosystem that supports buyers’ most-requested home technologies. The system is designed to support Legrand’s own subsystems, including its On-Q IP cameras, video door entry and intercom, RFLC lighting systems, and On-Q’s multi-room digital audio system that supports networked content and many popular online streaming services.

Intuity also offers seamless integration of market-leading, third-party, Legrand approved Z-Wave and Wi-Fi components, including HVAC thermostats from Honeywell and Trane, digital door locks from Kwikset and Yale, and home security systems from Honeywell and GE/Interlogix.

Users can control all aspects of their Intuity system through the Intuity control app, downloadable from the App Store, from any iOS mobile device.  The company also offers a wall-mounted Command Center, which not only houses an iPad mini, but also incorporates both an intercom station and a zone of digital audio.
The Intuity user interface is the same across all devices, from phones, to pads, to any laptop or desktop computer, so users will have a consistent experience whether they are checking their live camera feed remotely on any device from the road or while at home.

To get a first-hand demonstration of Intuity, come to CEDIA (booth 5412).   Or for more information, call 800-223-4162 or visit www.legrand.us
