Legrand Unveils 30" Plastic Enclosure to Integrate Wireless Devices into Traditional Structured Wiring Installations

MIDDLETOWN, PA., October 31, 2016 – Legrand, the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, unveils its 30” Plastic Enclosure (ENP3050) designed to integrate wireless devices into traditional structured wiring installations without interference or compromising system performance.

Legrand’s 30” Plastic Enclosure is made with a sturdy, durable ‘wireless-friendly’ ABS plastic that is transparent to RF (radio frequency) signals.  It features a universal mounting grid to maximize compatibility with third party products without additional brackets. It also has extra venting along the door for heat dissipation and staggered mounting tabs allowing multiple enclosures to mount in adjacent stud bays.

“This durable and lightweight enclosure’s innovative design, which is optimal for installations with wireless devices and compatible with a wide array of Legrand and third party products, underscores our attention to the smallest details that make life easier for installers,” said Fritz Werder, Legrand VP/general manager for the On-Q and Nuvo product lines. “It offers accessibility, convenience and value that make it a strong go-to option for simplifying the increasing number of systems that combine wired and wireless devices throughout today’s homes.”

The enclosure’s extruded cover adds 1.2” of depth for cable headroom and third party device flexibility. The cover includes a metal hinge that attaches to the enclosure in seconds without the need for tools or a helping hand, and it can be locked using screws or the pad lock feature. The tapered design allows enclosures and covers to stack for efficient transportation and warehousing. Available bulk packs of enclosures and doors offer added convenience and value for larger jobs.

The 30” enclosure and accessories are currently available in several configurations, the enclosure with hinged door (ENP3050; MSRP $95.00), the enclosure without the door (ENP3080; MSRP $50.00), hinged door only (ENP3060; MSRP $45.00), packs of five enclosures without doors (ENP3080-5; MSRP $245.00), packs of five hinged doors (ENP3060-5; MSRP $215.00), and packs of five 2” rubber grommet packs (AC1034; MSRP $2.99).
