Syracuse, NY, October 16, 2008 — Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring devices and home systems, today announced P&S PlugTail Power™ Pre-Fabricated Wiring Assemblies for commercial electrical contractors. This prefabricated wiring device system provides unmatched efficiency and convenience for projects with repetitive installations like hotels, office buildings and condominiums. With P&S PlugTail Power, much of the electrical assembly is executed in advance, dramatically reducing project completion times.
P&S PlugTail Power assemblies install simply, with no vertical measuring necessary for the floor brackets which slide under the sill plate. The wall brackets screw directly to the studs. The assembly system includes floor or wall brackets with one- or two-gang openings, pre-installed boxes and pre-installed mud rings available in 5/8” or 3/4” rise. The assembly also includes support arms in the back, to brace the unit and ensure rigidity. P&S PlugTail Connectors are pre-wired to the ground screw and allow contractors to make device choices at finish.
“PlugTail Power assembly goes beyond the exceptional productivity benefits of P&S PlugTail devices to offer an efficient system that makes rough-in fast and easy,” said Lynnette Sorbello, Commercial Product Specialist at P&S.
