Quiktron Features New Solutions at the 2013 BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition

Introducing new and enhanced cabling solutions for data centers and classrooms.


TAMPA, FL (BICSI 2013, Booth 301) — January 20, 2013 — Quiktron is the leading manufacturer of fiber optic and copper cable  assemblies for datacom and telecommunications serving the industrial, electrical, and low-voltage distribution channels. Quiktron is featuring a new line of specialized, high speed data center cabling to support increased bandwidth.

For education settings, Quiktron’s “Complete Classroom” will be highlighted which includes the key technology components to support a collaborative learning environment for instructors and students. Additionally, its extensive portfolio of RapidRun® products —the most complete modular cabling system will be showcased.

Today’s data centers face an increased demand for bandwidth. The new line of data center cables from Quiktron are manufactured with high quality materials designed to support high bandwidth connections such as Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Ethernet, and InfiniBand® communications. With an extensive selection, Quiktron has over 90 SKUs in lengths ranging from .5 meters to 150 meters capable of supporting a number of connections and speeds. Connector types include SFP+, QSFP+, MiniSAS and CX4 that are passive, active, and equalized. All cables meet applicable IEEE, SFF, and MSA technical standards. They are RoHS and TAA-compliant, as well as compatible with a number of the most common data center routers and switches. With the increased technology requirements in education settings and shrinking budgets for upgrades, Quiktron takes a holistic approach by providing a flexible and complete solution for the learning environment—making it more collaborative and easier for instructors and students.

Quiktron will showcase the “Complete Classroom” offering which includes the TruLink® A/V Controller, TruLink Plenum Amp, Classroom Speakers, TruLink Media Gateway, and RapidRun. Also featured will be Quiktron’s portfolio of connectivity solutions that seamlessly support analog and digital signal distribution options which includes A/V over Cat5, HDMI® over Coax, High Speed HDMI over Active Optical Cabling (AOC), andRapidRun.
