Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very cool I enjoy this product! It is very good to use and install was easy. It took a little bit of time to get it installed, but overall this was an easy product to install. I am interested in updating more of my home with these switches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Switch The Legrand smart tru-universal dimmer switch is an amazing upgrade to our previous switch. You download the legrand home app and then you can turn the lights on/off remotely so when you arrive home the lights will be on! No more walking into a dark house! If you forgot to turn the lights off you can also remotely turn them off from your phone too! This switch is everything! We plan on eventually switching all of our lights to a legrand smart switch. You have to be a little tech savvy in order to download the app and set up the switch but overall setup was a breeze. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with a smart phone who wants a smart-home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple to use! We bought this dimmer a few months ago and use it to control our living room lights. We have a few cheaper switches that work with the HomeKit and they frequently disconnect from HomeKit. The Legrand switch always stays connected to HomeKit and it's never not fun to dim the lights using Siri or the HomeKit on the phone. It was easy to install and quick to set up on HomeKit. We are probably going to buy another for our kitchen lights! The actual switch does feel a little different than a regular paddle switch as you can control it with your phone but it looks great next to our regular Legrand paddle switch. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Homekit Dimmer! I purchased this dimmer as a replacement for some some other Homekit smart wi-fi dimmers I have in my home. After having installed and used the Legrand dimmers for a couple of months, I can now say that I intend to replace all of my existing wi-fi dimmers (approximately 50) with Radiant - Smart Tru-Universal Dimmers. Without taking time to discuss my complaints with the other dimmers I will say that the Legrand dimmers address every one of my concerns with the other product. In particular, here is what I like about the Legrand dimmers: - Works seamlessly with Homekit. The setup was totally uneventful (what a difference!). - Connects directly to your home wi-fi without the need for a bridge. - Powered directly off of wall current and doesn't require batteries. - Works in 3-way and 4-way applications. When used in conjunction with the Legrand Remote Dimmers it can control multi-way switch installations. And the remote dimmers do not require batteries or the use some weird bluetooth signal. - All of the wiring connections are internal to the switch housing and not exposed on the outside of the housing - this practically eliminates the possibility of accidentally shorting one of the connections on the dimmer against the ground wire in the junction box. - Does not require the use of a traveler wire between the the main dimmer and the remote dimmers in multi-way installations (this means that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to wire multi-way switches). - The dimmers seem extremely stable and have never lost their connection to my home wi-fi. After having struggled for a couple of years with my existing wi-fi dimmers, I am totally impressed with the Legrand product. I hope they continue to grow and expand their product offerings in this area!

Questions & Answers

Couple of questions: 1. How many amps is this rated for? Specifically, can it be used on a 20 amp circuit? 2. Can it be used outside if it is in a box rated for outside with an appropriate cover?

Asked by: marbu00
The switch is rated at 15 amps. There may be code provisions for 15 amp switches on a 20 amp circuit, reach out to your local Authority Having Jurisdiction for electrical code compliance questions. This switch does not have a rating for outdoor use. It is not advised to use it in that setting. Best, Jeffrey

High pitched noise. I have both the homekit compatable dimmer and switch. Both switches produce a high pitched noise that is very noticeable. Is there any way to stop the noise? Is this common? Otherwise I really like the switches.

Asked by: Ryant
It is common in one of two scenarios. If the circuit has a floated neutral, then the switches will not work properly. Also, if the load being dimmed is CFL or LED, the switches need to be set to reverse phase dimming in order to function properly. This can be set from the settings menu of the legrand home app.

This sounds like either a networking issue or a faulty switch. Please reach out to technical support at 8002234162 Option 3.

Can I use radiant faceplate HMKITGRY with this dimmer?

Asked by: Ibhoopn
I haven’t tried with the harmony kits, but I have swapped them with RF switch faces to get different colors. There is a small PCB within the paddle that must be swapped over when you change the face. As cheap as the harmony kits are, it wouldn’t hurt to try. Physically they are the same, I’m just not certain if they have the clips for to hold the PCB in place.

Is it possible to set a Fade On/Fade Off rate? Also, is it possible to set a favorite brightness level for when you turn the light on by pressing the button once vs. twice?

Asked by: spwla
There is no way to adjust the fade rate that I can see. As for a favorite level; the dimmer will always come on at the last lighting level set. Double tap “on” to raise the level to 100% brightness.
