Australian songstress Sia is set to release her sixth studio album next month, and the singles already released from 1000 Forms of Fear -- “Chandelier” back in March and “Eye of the Needle” just a few weeks ago -- have certainly done the job of generating interest. Sia, despite avoiding extensive press and reportedly not wanting to be famous, is still wildly recognizable by her captivating voice thanks to contributions to hits like Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones” and David Guetta’s “Titanium.” (And, of course, her 2004 song “Breathe Me” has been featured in numerous films and television series.) Her voice, jazzy and remarkably textured, yet still well-suited for pop or electronic accompaniment, is one of my current favorites. Check out “Eye of the Needle” and enjoy!
