USB-C Travel Dock: Power and Connectivity for The Traveling Professional

Thursday, August 30, 2018 | by Robert Mays

ENTER EACH CONFERENCE ROOM FULLY PPREPARED.

We’ve all been there—you’ve prepared a world changing presentation, practiced it for hours, only to have an incompatible A/V connection, tangled adapter cables, or a dead device battery delay the presentation (and make the whole thing awkward). We put our best minds together to search far and wide for customer feedback to come up with a travel friendly solution for this. The result: The USB-C Travel Dock.

The USB-C Travel dock brings connectivity, power, and data transfer right to your devices, so you know you’re covered no matter which conference room you get switched to at the last minute. It is designed to fit neatly into a briefcase, bag, or purse to allow for convenient, on-the-go use. The modular system consists of three parts:

  1. USB-C Travel Dock
  2. USB-C Connectivity Hub
  3. USB-C Power Bank 10,200 mAh

DISPLAY CONNECTIVITY

The USB-C Travel Dock is the perfect way to stay ready to connect to nearly any display. The dock is purposefully engineered to allow a USB-C enabled tablet or computer to connect to a display via HDMI, VGA, or DisplayPort—which means you no longer have to carry tangles of adapters or cables. It also sports a USB-C port for power input, and a neatly wrapped tethered USB-C cable for connecting the source device. It easily pairs with the Connectivity Hub or Power Bank via a rear USB-C female port that cleanly fits into a male USB-C port on the Hub or Power Bank.

ETHERNET AND USB CONNECTIVITY

The USB-C Connectivity Hub brings additional connections to the Travel Dock to meet all connectivity needs. The Hub is equipped with a USB-C port for plugging in mobile devices, two USB-A ports for connecting peripherals (such as a keyboard, mouse, webcam) and portable storage devices, and an RJ-45 port for Gigabit Ethernet. Simply connect a USB-C power source to the Travel Dock to provide the necessary power for the Hub to function.

CHARGING WHEREVER YOU NEED IT

The USB-C Power Bank places power within reach when your devices need it the most. With a capacity of 10,200mAh, the high-grade lithium battery is able to provide multiple charges for most smartphones or a partial charge for larger devices, like a laptop or tablet. The LED lights on the Power Bank will indicate when it needs to be recharged. Connect to the Travel Dock with a USB-C power source, or use the Power Bank on its own as a charging source. Plug the Bank into a USB-C power source to quickly recharge it for your next meeting or trip.

Note: The USB-C Power Bank and the Connectivity Hub cannot be connected to the USB-C Travel Dock at the same time.

The USB-C Travel Dock is available in three options:
