Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek look This dimmer provides such a sleek modern look. The dimmer also provides optimal dimming performance of the LED bulbs. It features a paddle switch to turn your lights on or off, and has a discrete slide control next to the switch, allowing you to adjust the lights for any activity. This dimmer is also an energy saving product. I want to put one in each common room of my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Dimmer I had my husband install this dimmer in our bedroom upon arrival. Though the directions weren’t the easiest to follow, he was easily able to install this dimmer. The graphite color is unique and looks really good against the cream color of my walls. My bedroom light fixture is a fan/light combo. The dimmer controls both the light and the fan. It’s pretty neat. I’m glad I got this item and will definitely be getting more for the other rooms in my house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from mmm - different this dimmer works and looks nice - love the graphite appearance. I am having a problem getting used to the flip switch with slider-on-the-side configuration. the bathroom 4-light fixture bulbs flutter as I am moving the slider, but figure there must be a reason for it. I do wish I had gotten a more basic style dimmer switch. this separate side-slider to dim my lights makes simply flipping on lights not quite so simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really good!!! I got this about a month ago I finally just got it installed. My husband has been out of town and I wanted to make sure I didn't mess it up so I waited for him to help me. I think I would of been fine doing it on my own, it was pretty easy to do. I really like this it's so nice to have a dinner in my bedroom. I hate in the evening having a bright light on it's so nice to be able to control the brightness on my own. It works so good and I am so happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone. I think I am going to get more to use in my childrens rooms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice I like that it came with detailed instrutions for easy instalation. The color matches as expected. I like the different levels to dim or make brighter. It looks nicer than a traditional light switch as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saver I received this awesome light switch. I love the way I can dim the lights to help save money on my light bill. It was easy to install. Be safe when installing this switch and turn the power off until you finished installing it. My grand babies always stay in my bedroom when they are down watching tv and leaving the lights on now I can dim them enough to keep them happy. Thanks for a great product!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality, and simple to install I ordered one Legrand dimmer not knowing if I would like the switch and be able to actually install it myself. Well both of those things ended up being a positive. The switch is great. The install was easy (even for me).

Is it possible to make the rocker switch control a light, and the dimmer switch control a separate ceiling fan? The light would not be part of the ceiling fan.

Asked by: bigdavid961
The switch you mentioned can only control one load at a time and is rated only for cfl or led bulbs. You would need our switch for the led bulb and a fan control device for the fan.

What type of dimmer is the RHCL453PW? ie: forward phase, reverse phase, etc.

I have a Legrand RHCL453P which I'm using with some under cabinet LED ribbon lighting. I am experiencing some flickering and I need to know if there is some type of adjustment I can make to alleviate this problem.

Asked by: Pete
Hello, The RhCL453P is rated for dimmable CFL/LED bulbs which screw into conventional incandescent lamp sockets. The bulbs may not be compatible with the dimmer and this may cause the flickering. Hope this helps, Have a great day.

Connecting this to ceiling fan using a single pole installation. To dim & turn on/off the light on the ceiling fan I am using this model. To change fan speed & turn on/off the blades I am using RHDH163PTCCCV6. Do I need a neutral wire for the light?

Asked by: Question411
The RHCL453PTC dimmer does not require a Neutral connection to the dimmer.

For a 3-way operation, does the common wire that is the power source have to be connected to the dimmer or can the common wire that is the switch leg be connected instead?

Asked by: Will
The RHCL453PTC dimmer can be installed on either side of a 3way circuit.

I have this dimmer installed on a circuit with (2) LED BR30 floodlights (65w equivalent).  I have been unable to get the bulbs to dim beIow about 50%.  I have adjusted the calibration and tried different bulb manufacturers. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Terry
The dimmer should dim lower than 50% so I would suggest trying another dimmer(same model) or try the universal dimmer in the same line(RH703PTUTC).

I bought this dimmer on amazon and was advertised as a led compatible switch and when arrived packaging say only  halo inc compatible. Will this work for led cans and under counter led lighting?

Asked by: Sowellelectric88
Thank you for your inquiry regarding our RHCL453P dimmer. This device is LED compatible so I am not sure why the packaging for your product says incandescent only. If this is the right part number, the product is compatible with LED screw in bulbs. If you are looking for a compatibility chart, please contact us at 800-223-4185 or via email at Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question regarding Legrand dimmer RHCL453P. Yes, the leak through current is normal for all of our "illuminated when off" dimmers and switches.
