Can this be siege protected and grounded.  Our contractor says we have to have it grounded to meet code when using it as under cabinet outlets in outnumber kitchen.

Asked by: Albert
Surge protection isn't an option for this product. The internal wiring includes a hot, neutral and ground wire. If the housing needs to be grounded separately we also offer the 2009 ground clamp as an optional part.

The hardwire unit has wires at both ends.  The installation directions do not say how to cut off or cap the unneeded wires at the end of the unit?? How do you recommend capping them off?

Asked by: Dale
The wires at the end of the hardwired Plugmold strip are capped of using wirenuts that are UL listed and approved for that purpose. Each wire must be capped off separately from the others.
