Works the same as a standard duplex
I purchased these for a switched outlet. The only difference between this and a standard duplex is the logo on the front. You still have to remove the connector tab on the back to make it a switched outlet. I would think this would be removed by the factory. You are essentially paying extra for the little logo on the front, you can break the same tab on a standard duplex outlet.

Not what I was expecting.
I was a little misled/or misunderstood by this item online. I assumed it was more or less a standard outlet with the tamper resistence and dual control. Note this item requires a special box in order for it to be wired to your house. I ended up returning the item in favor of buying some standard Legrand outlets (which were cheaper and didn't require additional boxes, from home depot and wiring those. - One comment for the return. Is there a way for me to track the status of my return? I saw no indication of this in the product or documentation.

Is the logo light supposed to go on?

The "Controlled" emblem is etched onto the receptacle and does not illuminate.

Hi, I have to use a shallow box for my outlets, what is the depth of these please? They look great, your reply is much appreciated.
The depth on the adorne receptacle is 1.73".

Isn't it code to have switched logo on switched outlets?
This Plug Load outlet controls both receptacles, which will turn off for energy efficiency and cost savings.
They are code-required, meet standards, and include permanent power markings of the face of the outlet.
