Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great dimmer at a good price I just purchased and installed this 0-10v dimmer for a light my wife wanted that was only dimmable via 0-10v dimming. The best feature of this dimmer is that the "Constant memory returns lights to previous level after a power failure". It is very easy to connect and comes with covers for two additional covers in addition to the white. I bought it at a local electrical supply house and it was very cost effective compared to buying one online. I hope it is reliable, it will get a lot of use. Curiously Legrand products did not show up in internet searches for 0-10v dimmers.

Questions & Answers

Not an electrician. I believe I have two of these switches in my kitchen connected to 7 ceiling lights and I'm getting some flicker through out the dimming range. Any thoughts?

Asked by: bumphoto
I would verify the model number of the dimmers by removing the wallplate. If it is the RH4FBL3P, it has a calibration wheel on the left side to adjust for flickering(see attached image). Also, you mention two dimmers controlling 7 ceiling lights so make sure that you are NOT using two dimmers in a 3way. It can only be one dimmer and a 3way switch. I've read mixed reviews about compatibility between dimmers and certain LED drivers. I have two Halo 8" LCR fixtures (Model # LCR8509FSE010MW) and would like to match the existing Legrand switches I have. Is this dimmer compatible with this fixture?

Asked by: Dilbert
It should work. The dimmer is a 0-10V dimmer and the lights are 0-10V dimming as well.

Is there any PWM going on inside of this dimmer? I have a Meanwell 24V power supply that does not work with your product. This power supply can accept standard 0-10V signals as well as 10V PWM signals, dimming based on duty cycle.

Asked by: TomW
No, it does not have PWM on the 0 - 10 volt signal for the RH4FBL3PW dimmer.

Hello - What is the maxiumum LED wattage that the 0-10v dimmer can control I have 43 x 36W LED 0-10v dimmable linear fittings I want to contyrol them all at once What do I need?

Asked by: Rick
For a 0-10V dimmed fixture, the total number of fixtures per dimmer is based on the current sinking capacity of the dimmer and the current sourcing value from the drivers. i.e. a driver sourcing 100ua and an RH4 dimmer capable of sinking 30mA would give the capability to run approx 300 drivers, not dependent on the individual wattage of the driver.

In a commercial application, would the electronics within the switch be damaged if the lighting branch circuit is routed through a contactor for automatic shut off controls? This has been an issue with power packs in a similar set up.

Asked by: Steve
Hello, thank you for the question. This device can be safely used with a switch contactor. I hope this helps.

Can multiple dimmers be used to dim the same group of lights as in a 3-way or 4-way setup? If not, are there companion dimmers to allow for this application or is this not possible with this product? Thanks.

Asked by: James
The RH4FBL3P dimmer would need to be used with a standard 3way switch and you can only dim from the one location. Typically, you would need a master dimmer and remote dimmer for that type of application and we do not have them for 0-10V drivers.

I purchased the RNCL453PTCCCV6 dimmer from Lowes. It does not dim our shutoff the Innovation Lighting BB-60-LED-ST64 bulb. The dimmer packaging does not state anything about 3.5 watt bulbs or 0-10V incompatibility.

Asked by: Mike C.
This dimmer is compatible with CFL/LED dimmable bulbs (except 0-10V LED drivers) and has a 10W minimum load required. If you have 0-10V fixture, you would need to use the RH4FBL3PTC(4 wire) dimmer.

Can the switch be used to dim only 3 of 5 lights installed on the switch?

Asked by: JM electec
These are generally all on one 0-10V driver/ballast, so they would all be dimmed the same.

For a single pole installation, does the switch require 4 wires from the switch to the fixture?  I only have a 3 wire in the wall from the switch location to the fixture.

The Radiant 0-10V dimmer is designed for use with a "4 wire" dimming ballast only.

Asked by: Dalejr
If the Lithonia led troffer light MVOLT is a 0-10V(4 wire) fixture, then follow the wiring instructions on the attached link for installing the Radiant dimmer. https://www.legrand.us/-/media/brands/radiant/resources/installation-instructions/radiant%20flourescent_led%20dimmers-10a.ashx If the Lithonia led troffer light MVOLT LED driver does not have Grey and Purple low voltage wires, then you would need a different dimmer for it(most likely the RH703PTUTC).

Asked by: Kadie
Yes this dimmer is a 0-10V dimmer. It is designed for 0-10V ballasts/drivers. If you do not have a 0-10V ballast this is not the dimmer You want. I would reccomend our RH703PTU it is our Tru universal dimmer designed for a wide variety of light loads.
