Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and works, but somewhat limited. Installation and connection was simple as guided. I would’ve liked to be able to associate the switch not just with a single physical switch or outlet, but also with scenes and other smart accessories in HomeKit.

Questions & Answers

Do Lagrand switches have any way of connecting to a Z-Wave controller? Does Lagrand have any plans to bridge between It's own protocol and other protocols like Z-Wave or Zigbee or work with Smartthings hubs. Thanks

Asked by: Anonymous
Our "With Netatmo" devices use Zigbee as their wireless communication protocol. Currently we don't offer Z-wave compatible devices.

Do the Wireless Smart Switches, such as WNRL63WH, show up in Homekit or only the device they are connected to? Example, have 3 wireless smart dimmers (WNRL63WH) linked to a Plug-in Dimmer would you see only one device, the Plug-in Dimmer, or 4 devices?

Asked by: Aaron
The wireless devices will show up in HomeKit

Can the devices (radiant and adorne) pair with a 3rd party Zigbee 3.0 / Matter hub? Would the Legrand up be able to talk to them through a 3rd party hub? (Ikea, SmartThings, etc.) Can the light switch control other devices (smart bulbs) too?

Asked by: nacho319
So I've gotten through installing (and reinstalling) the switch WNRL50 (Radiant Smart Tru-Universal Dimmer with Netamo) and I've installed the gateway (radiant WNRH2). You can connect the switch directly to another gateway. I have it connected via an Ikea Dirigera (Ikea's newer Thread/Matter compatible gateway). Actually, it was distinctly easier, IMO, connecting the switch to the Ikea gateway than the Radiant gateway. But then joining the radiant gateway to HomeKit - super easy, just scan the homekit QR; but that doesn't set it up in the legrand Control app, and I couldn't figure out how to add devices via apple home app that way. Also, the Legrand Control app had me take the face cover off the gateway to press a hidden switch inside to try to do setup a second time via the legrand app. What Really?! And then that didn't work. I pressed the button on the switch, the Ikea gateway found it (from a different floor) and I added it. So it was somewhat easy to pair. As to the switch, it presents as a light bulb - which is fine, although basic. It automates like a light bulb in HomeKit. The newer Leviton DG6HD shows up as a light bulb and remote controller, which means besides being able to be automated you can ALSO use it as a controller to automate other things. I have a DG6HD hardwired dimmer control for a light, but also simultaneously controlling a light in another room (mostly as an experiment.) I've been testing smart switches in my house, including Leviton, Legrand, Eve, and Sinope. All Zigbee or Thread switches with Apple HomeKit.

Does this switch has a gentle on and off like Lutron does? or is it just on and off instantly?

Asked by: Danny R
Hello, The device will turn on/off instantly when the switch is activated. You may be interested in our dimmer (WNRL50WH) as this would offer you the "gentle on" you may be looking for.

Are these smart switches and dimmers compatible with 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi signals? Most lighting wifi compatible products are 2.4GHz only.

Asked by: Dan
Hello Dan, The radiant smart switch with Netatmo does not directly connect to your networking equipment. The WNRL10WH requires a Netatmo Gateway (WNRH1WH), and the Gateway can only connect to the 2.4Ghz. Best Regards, Technical Support

Do these switches have a 'Memory' of the lighting position? ie. when dimmed to 50%, if I double press top to illuminate to 100% and then turn off/on again, will they go back to 50%? This is the way the HKRL50 worked and I cannot get this switch to do it.

Asked by: dVIAN
The dimmer is "reset" so it will remember the last position of the light level was at when it is turned back on. If turned off at 50%, it will turn back on at 50%.

Does the indicator light stay lit when the switch is off like the wired versions?

Asked by: Michael
For the battery powered Wireless Smart Switch, the locator light is used during onboarding. Once onboarded, the indicator light does not stay on when the switch is off. The indicator light staying on when in the off position could shorten the battery life, and we want to ensure a long battery life of our wireless smart switches.

Is there a maximum distance from the Netatmo gateway to furthest switch. If yes what is it. And how far apart can each switch be from each other

I already have a Legrand whole house light controller as well as 20 Adorne switches and dimmers. Can I just upgrade the whole house controller with a Netatmo gateway or would I have to start over again with all new Netatmo switches and dimmers?

Asked by: Diabolic812
You would have to start over as both platforms use completely different wireless communication technologies. You can, however have both platforms coexist in your home if need be.

How long does the battery last, and does the app provide a warning when it gets low?

Asked by: Andrew
Yes, the Home + Control app will send you a notification when the battery level is low. The notification should be sent when the battery has about 3 months of life left. That way it'll give you time to get some batteries and do the swap before the battery goes to 0%.

Can the Netatmo Smart Switch be used with a 3-way switch like the TM873W? I'm replacing switches in an existing 3-way config. I'd prefer to have my 3-way wired in and not be on batteries, as well as spend $3 instead of $36. I think the WiFi version can.

A Netatmo 3way would be using one WNRL10WH and one WNRL23WH. You can not use a standard 3way switch in this application.
