Questions & Answers

Do these outlet modules wear out or short out?  We have a strip with 2 outlet modules that stopped working.  We reset the breaker in our main breaker box but that didn’t solve the problem.  Any suggestions?

My kitchen has two 20amp circuits. I understand I can put in GFCI breaker at the panel. All of the outlets on the circuit are rated 15amp receptacles, however it is 12 gauge wire feeding them. Is it within code to use 14 wire to feed receptacles?

Asked by: Mike
The Under Cabinet Track receptacles get their power from either a Control Box or Direct Wire Connector and they will accept both #12 and #14 AWG wire.

Are there 20 amp receptacle that go into the the strip. Do you sell a gfci module or do we need to intall in the panel?

Asked by: Minke
The under cabinet receptacles are 15A that are installed on a 20A circuit. The GFCI protection can either come from a Control Box with GFCI or at the breaker panel.

how do the adorne collection undercabinet receptacles meet the 20 amp circuit requirement for kitchen applications or do you offer a 20 amp module??

Asked by: gary
The receptacle circuit must be 20 amps(per code), use #12 wire, and be GFCI protected. The separate lighting and accessory circuits must be at least 15 amps each, and can use #14 wire.

do they meet 210.8 and 210.52 requirements?

Asked by: Mark
They meet 210.52 for all 125-volt, 15- and 20-amp receptacles shall be listed tamper-resistant receptacles. These do not meet 210.8 on their own because they do not provide GFCI protection. If You have the circuit protected with a GFCI it will.
