Are the strips paintable to match cabinetry?

Asked by: Pamela
Hello Pamela, Yes, Plugmold can be painted to match. To paint Plugmold, first sand the surface lightly with fine 180-grit sandpaper. Apply primer on the surface and paint the raceway, using only oil-based enamel paint. Please note the outlets should not be painted. Plugmold is available in ivory, gray, white, black or stainless steel which cannot be painted. Thank you!

Does plug mold come in 18" sections?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello, Plugmold does not come in 18" sections, however a longer piece can be shortened on the job site by following the installation instructions included with the product. If required, cut the base to length and carefully debur any cut ends before mounting. If the edge of any receptacle falls closer than 1 1/2" from the end of the unit, then that receptacle must be cut out to allow sufficient space for the installation of the end fitting. Thank you-

Do you have plugmold that accepts hospital grade receptacles

Asked by: Gerry Donahue
Hi Gerry, Unfortunately the Plugmold systems cannot be made to accept hospital grade devices. The closest option is our 3000 series which can have devices field installed. Thank you,

Do you have a product that is countertop surface rated or listed?

Asked by: Ryan
Hi Ryan, The Plugmold products are surface mounted products. The location and orientation would be subject to approval by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). The AHJ must sign off/approve the installation to ensure it meets all applicable local and national codes. That being said there is nothing we offer that is specifically rated for countertops/kitchen use.

Do you sell replacement outlets for your plugmold power strip? I have four of your Plugmold strips connected in series in my workshop. An outlet in one of the strips cracked, and downstream strips are dead. And I don't want to hard-wire around it.

Asked by: ThomKat
The outlets for the Plugmold strips are not field replaceable. The strip with the broken outlet must be replaced in its entirety.

Is this available in 20 amp receptacles? If the strip is mounted horizontally (receptacle face down) will the connected appliance male slip out of the receptacle or is friction enough to hold it in place?

Asked by: Andrew
Hi Michael, The 20A version is model number V24GB306. The male plug should have enough friction to hold in place. I have not heard of things becoming unplugged due to the strip being upside down.
