The NEC section 4-6.8(B)(1) require that all 15 and 20 amp 125 and 250 volt outdoor receptacles in wet locations have a cover that is weatherproof - even when a plug is inserted into the receptacle.  While-In-Use Weatherproof Cover has a patented corner hinge and cord opening to allow vertical or horizontal installations.  The exclusive WaterShedTM channel keep water moving outside while the cord flap keeps the inside dry.
FEATURES
  • Comply with NEC 2005 Section 406.8(B)(1)for wet locations covers, and conforms to NEMA 3R.
  • Covers are self-closing as required by UL514C42.3. Covers mount vertically or horizontally.
  • Body, cover, and plates made of polycarbonate. Gasket made of closed cell foam, neoprene blend regular density, UL Rated HBF. Mounting screws made of 302 stainless steel.
  • Single receptacle plate available in 1.405 inch and 1.595 inch openings. Deep model available for 20A locking plugs.
  • Shallow covers accommodate up to 14/3 AWG extension cords. New trigger latch opens easily with one finger.
