Is the tape safe to use on hardwood floors

Product comes tightly packed in box: how do you make it lay flat without using adhesive strips?
Hello,
A good tip for making Corduct Flexible Pancake stay flat is to uncoil it, lay it flat in a warm room and place something to weigh it down at the ends and in the middle. Keep it like this for roughly 24 hours before installation. If that does not work, you can also install it completely in its permanent location using double-sided tape. Then add several strips of low-tack masking tape across it to secure it down. Leave it taped down like this for a few days, then remove the low-tack masking tape and allow the double-sided tape to secure it to the floor.

Can the Corduct be place under a rug?

They are not designed for use under the rug, only for over floor mounting.
