The BF-SDS10V-AST takes a 0-10V dimming signal and a fixed line voltage input and converts it to a phase-adaptive dimmed output for up to 1300W for a 277V load and 750W for a 120V load. The dimming type used (forward phase or reverse phase) is automatically selected by the BF-SDS10V-AST for optimal dimming performance. The BF-SDS10V-AST has a built-in slotted mounting bracket for surface mounting and is rated for install in plenum spaces

Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the ELCU-200? If so, is there a wiring/riser diagram to explain?

Asked by: Bobby
There is currently no published wiring diagram that specifically illustrates the BF-SDS10V-AST used in conjunction with the ELCU-200. The BF-SDS10V-AST is intended to work with a 0–10V dimming control signal, typically provided by an LMRC-series 0-10V dimming room controller, and is used to convert that signal to a phase-dimming output suitable for compatible fixtures. The ELCU-200 functions independently of the dimming device. It monitors the normal power circuit and ensures emergency lighting remains operational during a loss of normal power by bypassing control devices and forcing designated fixtures on. While the ELCU-200 and BF-SDS10V-AST don’t directly interface, they can coexist in the same circuit when properly designed. In this context, the alternate wiring method for dimmer bypass on an emergency circuit—outlined in the ELCU-200 documentation—is likely the most appropriate approach. This method ensures that emergency fixtures receive full power in override conditions, regardless of the dimming signal. Due to the complexity and variables involved in emergency lighting designs, especially when combining dimming and emergency control components, it can be difficult to account for all possible wiring scenarios based solely on limited information. We strongly recommend contacting Wattstopper Technical Support for a custom-tailored wiring solution that ensures proper functionality.

Why is this so expensive.....One of my distributors buys these for $89.00. The price point Wattstopper has chosen makes it so difficult to nearly impossible to be cost competitive now when doing any DLM job with Phase control.......
