Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Awesome Dimmer I purchased this dimmer as a replacement for some some other smart wi-fi dimmers I have in my home. After having installed and used the Legrand dimmers for a couple of months, I can now say that I intend to replace all of my existing wi-fi dimmers (approximately 50) with Radiant - Smart Tru-Universal Dimmers. Without taking time to discuss my complaints with the other dimmers I will say that the Legrand dimmers address every one of my concerns with the other product. In particular, here is what I like about the Legrand dimmers: - Works seamlessly with Homekit. The setup was totally uneventful (what a difference!). - Connects directly to your home wi-fi without the need for a bridge. - Powered directly off of wall current and doesn't require batteries. - Works in 3-way and 4-way applications. When used in conjunction with the Legrand Remote Dimmers it can control multi-way switch installations. And the remote dimmers do not require batteries or the use some weird bluetooth signal. - All of the wiring connections are internal to the switch housing and not exposed on the outside of the housing - this practically eliminates the possibility of accidentally shorting one of the connections on the dimmer against the ground wire in the junction box. - Does not require the use of a traveler wire between the the main dimmer and the remote dimmers in multi-way installations (this means that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to wire multi-way switches). - The dimmers seem extremely stable and have never lost their connection to my home wi-fi. After having struggled for a couple of years with my existing wi-fi dimmers, I am totally impressed with the Legrand product. I hope they continue to grow and expand their product offerings in this area!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrong description on website, not tru-universal I needed a tru-universal dimmer for a new light fixture I bought. Lighting store recommended Legrand and indicated I had to make sure it was ELV compatible, as all tru-universal dimmers are. Description on Legrand website mentioned this was tru-universal, compatible with ELV, MLV, halogen, LED, incandescent. Installed the dimmer, and got horrible buzzing sounds. Looked at the package and saw that this is not the tru-universal dimmer but an incandescent/halogen only. Don't waste your time and money. You need part RH703PTU. Anything without "TU" is not tru-universal. Legrand's website is wrong for the white switch (RH703PW) and the tri-color switch (RH703PTC)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great functionality and easy to install! This product was super easy to install and integrate with Alexa, the instructions in setting the Smart Switch with our home network were very easy to follow and everything was up and running in a manner of minutes. Being able to remotely control the lights is very convenient, you can also manually click it on or use the app which is great. It is also still able to be used as a normal switch. The Wi-Fi smart switch looks almost identical to the other switches in our home with the addition of a nice small cool white led to show the switch is off and helps find it in the dark. This was a great addition on our journey to a smart home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product choice I chose to use the legrand style switches and plugs in my remodeling project. I am so glad I did because everyone really likes how they look and they add such elegance and style to the kitchen, dining room, & bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable reliable I got one of these switches to try out and I liked the way it worked so much that I switched all of my dimmer switches in my house to this same brand and style. The ones I had before hummed when dimmed down and these have not done that at all to me.

Questions & Answers

Hi How do you change the wifi network used by the device ?

Asked by: Mozo
In order to change the WiFi network your SmartLights device is connecting to, you will need to remove and re-add your device to your app. Alternatively if you prefer, you can change your network SSID (Network name) and password to match the SSID and password settings from your previous router. Are these 3-way - can two smart dimmers be used to control the same lights? For example - can one be placed on each end of a long hallway to control the same hallway lights?

Asked by: Anonymous
The WWRL50WHCCV2 can be used in a 3way but has to be paired with a HMRTC or HMRW(remote dimmer) in the other location of your 3way. https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/light-switches-and-dimmers/dimmers/radiant-multi-location-remote-dimmer/p/hmrtc

Can the smart dimmer be paired with two smart outlets that work with one dimmer?

Asked by: sarahb78
Hello, This smart line doesn't have the feature to pair with other devices. However, you can group devices together within the app so all (or some) devices can be turned on/off from the app. Thank you,

Just want to operate switch manually and am having no success I just need to turn it on and off. It was installed professionally

Asked by: James
The dimmer should operate manually if wired directly to the light load and the Air Gap switch on the right side of the dimmer needs to be in the UP position for the dimmer to have power. Nothing but problems. Legrand already sent me a replacement, but it has the same issue. It becomes non-responsive in the app, and then eventually I can't even add the switch back again after removing it. Now it's stuck in a firmware update.

I'm trying to install this dimmer as a replacement for as existing Lutron 3 way dimmer. The other existing switch is a simple (non-dimmer) paddle switch. I cannot get the new legrand dimmer to work. Why?

Asked by: pgh naples
When using the WWRL50WHCCV2 Smart dimmer in a 3way, you need to also replace the 3way switch with a remote dimmer(HMRW or HMRTC) in the other location.

Will these dimmer WWrl50whccv2 work with apple Home?

Asked by: tony
These switches are not HomeKit compatible. If you want HomeKit switches, you want the HKRL50WH. If you are setting up a 3-way circuit using these switches, you would use the HKRL50WH and up to 4 HKRL60s for the second, third, fourth, and fifth switches in that circuit.

Can I control any of these 3-way switches with a smart hub?

Asked by: DrFunk
The LC2101 is the dimmer that connects to our LC7001 Lighting Control Hub. Pair that with the LC2103 RF Remote dimmer for 3-way capability. If you need a Switch instead of a dimmer, use the LC2201 switch and the LC2203 dimmer. Is there a list of compatible bulbs? I have installed some A19 dimmable LED bulbs that don't seem to be working (yes, they are dimmable!). I know the switch works because I tested with dimmable incandescent and those worked fine.

Asked by: Drew76
The dimmer works with virtually any dimmable lamp and load on typical residential and light commercial wiring (with the exception of 0-10V LED drivers). You may need to adjust the dimmer trim levels found under the Device Settings in the app.

I am using the RHCL453P with 6 light bulbs, 8.8 watts each and dimmable on two bathroom light fixtures. Does the 6 bulbs then make the total wattage exceed the minimum of 10 watts? They started to flicker recently at the highest setting.

Asked by: Gordon
If you have 6 bulbs at 8.8W's that is a total of 52.8W's and the dimmer is rated up to 450W's of LED. The 10W in the minimum load required and you are above that so that is not an issue.
