The Contain-IT FLEX containment solution is designed to maximize efficiency while creating a predictable operating environment that increases equipment reliability. With airflow integrity greater than 97.5%, Contain-IT FLEX eliminates bypass airflow and recirculation, mitigating high temperature-induced alarms and equipment shutdowns due to thermal overload. Contain-IT FLEX also allows users to increase their energy performance while operating high-density environments.
Contain-IT FLEX Key Benefits:
- Time Savings – Snap-to-fit modular components reduce overall installation complexity and eliminate manufacturing lead times.
- Maximized Performance – Minimal leakage is critical for maximum efficiency within the data center and reducing energy costs related to cooling.
- Increased Density – Provides a predictable and reliable operating environment for IT equipment, allowing the end-user to maximize density per cabinet.
- Sustainability – Reduce PUE while maximizing density per square foot. Energy savings can be achieved to comply with California's Title 24 law.

Contain-IT Flex Specifications & Features
The Contain-IT FLEX system is comprised of stock components that are assembled to create containment systems. The components can be assembled onsite to create horizontal or vertical containment, supported by the cabinet or ceiling.
Contain-IT FLEX is a flexible modular solution that can easily overcome obstructions in any data center environment. These range from filling in the gap caused by missing cabinets, containing against building support columns, or creating a thermal barrier for cable ladders, ducting, and overhead power.
The components snap together for an airtight fit, allowing the system to maintain integrity with nominal pressures within the aisle. In testing, our vertical and horizontal containment solutions contained 97.7% and 98.7% of the volumetric flow respectively, making the system highly reliable and energy-efficient.
Drop-away panels are a cost-effective method to bring fire suppression into a contained aisle. The panels soften, distort, and fall when exposed to fire, allowing fire suppression agent to reach the aisle and eliminating the need for a separate system.

Legrand’s engineered-to-order aisle containment systems provide a full complement of airflow and cable management accessories to deliver more customization and control for any data center infrastructure need.
End Row Doors
Sliding end-of-row doors are available for cabinets up to 52U high and aisles that are between three to six feet wide. Sealing the ends of aisles with doors is critical in preventing recirculation between the hot and cold aisles, particularly in the end-of-row cabinets.
