- One consistent design: Mix-and-match Resource RFBA Series Floor Boxes of any size with interchangeable components. Makes every project installation quick and efficient.
- Universal sized conduit feed: Meets all requirements for each box. 2- and 4-gang shallow boxes accept a 1”” conduit feed, while all standard boxes accept a 2”” conduit feed.
- Improved wire and cable routing: Allows for easier wire pulling in adjacent compartments and around corners, reducing the overall cost for most cabling requirements.
- Two finishes: Every box configuration is available in either a standard zinc-plated construction or a lightweight ““slab-on-grade”” finish with fusion-bonded epoxy corrosion resistant paint.
- Removable dividers post-pour: Fully adjustable before and after the concrete pour.

Nightmare to wire and if installed on job that has heavy lift traffic and sits around awhile the temp covers and screw holes get destroyed

What is the difference between on grade and above grade?
The RFBA2R30OG on-grade box has a corrosion resistant epoxy coating for concrete installation on the ground level. The RFBA2R30 above-grade box is stamped steel for concrete installation on upper levels. Thank you

Floorport covers for the RFBA2R30OG are available in flanged and flangeless options.
Flanged covers measure 7-1/2" x 6-3/4" and flangeless are 6-1/2" x 5-3/4".

Do these boxes maintain the fire rating of the 3 hour floor?
Hello. No, there are no fire rated options within the RFBA series of floor boxes. A comparable fire-classified floor box would be the EFB45S-FC. Thanks!

Is there a way to install Panduit MiniCom cat6a jack modules in these boxes?

What weight can these boxes withstand? We are installing in a commercial shopping mall with tile, and the owner is worried about scissors lifts or heavy equipment crushing the boxes.
Hello. Our FloorPort covers have static load ratings of 750 or 1000 lbs (see attached chart). Please note that they are not tested for rolling loads. Thanks!

I have a RFBA 2 box. Is there a gasket kit for devices that are installed in the box? I have a GFCI and a duplex that are installed in the box. Or is it just a gasket that comes with the floor cover?

Please explain the differences between the RFB and RFBA series of floor boxes? Is the RFBA the newer/upgraded version of the RFB series?

The RFBA series is the newer redesigned version of the box. The boxes have improved wire and cable pass-through capabilities and device plates that work with all the boxes in the series. The RFB style has been discontinued.
