The OFR Series Surface Raceway and Fittings and have been tested and evaluated to UL 5 - Standard for Surface Metal Raceways and Fittings and CSA C22.2 #62 - Surface Raceway Systems. Legrand Wiremold OFR Series Raceway was designed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. In compliance with Section 303, the change in floor level does not exceed ½ inch and is beveled with a slope not steeper than 1:2. The OFR series surface raceway should not be placed in doorways and the OFR48 device boxes and transition fittings should not be placed in a path of travel. The National Electrical Code requires that this type of raceway is installed in such a way that is accessible. Installing it under the carpet would make it inaccessible. Therefore we don't recommend that you install it in that way.

The inside clearance of the OFR raceway is 0.38". The typical RG11 overall cable diameter is larger than that. Therefore, the RG11 cables will not fit in the OFR.

Hi Chris, The OFRBC-8 is the commercial version sold through electrical distributors and is priced per foot. The OFRBC-8R is the retail version sold through DIY stores like Home Depot and Amazon and is priced per 8' section. Other than the pricing they are the same exact product no differences in size or appearance.

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. OFR raceway can be cut using one of the following methods; A band saw, jigsaw and a hack saw can cut the profiles. All three types cut without any problem. With the band saw and the jigsaw it is easier to cut the base and cover together as an assembly. This prevents the cover from distorting. With the hacksaw, the profiles can be cut together or separately. If using a jigsaw use a fine tooth blade. Please reach out to us directly with any additional questions you may have.
