Questions & Answers

I installed touch WiFi dimmer switch and it’s just flashing green and red while the dimmer plus and minus are blinking what is the problem?

Asked by: Jack123456
It sounds like a wiring issue. I would verify you have the master dimmer and that it is wired as follows: Master: Hot - power wire from breaker Load - wire to light White - Neutral connection adorne products 1.800.223.4185 opt 3 Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm EST (excluding holidays) Email Us - tech.support@legrand.us

How much, in watts, does this switch draw when in standby? I am looking for a number, not a response like "very little". Need to know to calculate load for an entire house of them. Thanks!

Asked by: mp61
Just spoke with Brian from customer service at Legrand. I asked this question because our house with almost all switches of this type is using much more electricity than expected. Our measurements on our lighting circuits show each dimmer to be using around 15 watts when the light is turned off. Brian said that sounds what is to be expected for a wi-fi enabled dimmer switch. Doing the math....15 watts, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is 131 kWh's per year per switch. In our house with nearly 100 switches, this is a significant annual cost, and is roughly 40% of our household annual use. We will be replacing most of the programmable dimmers with a more electrically efficient option.

When using the Touch Wi-Fi Ready Master Dimmer, can I use either Touch Remote Wi-Fi Switch or Touch Remote Wi-Fi Dimmer? What would be the pros and cons of each choice? Thank you!

Asked by: legoman128
You can use either remote with the master dimmer. The remote switch only gives you ON/OFF in the remote location, where the remote dimmer also lets you dim from the remote dimmer location.

Can I use one master one wi-fi master dimmer in as many as wi-fi dimmer remote in the whole house?

Asked by: Nida
You need a master dimmer for each light circuit and the remotes can be added to control the same circuit from another location in the house. You can connect multiple remotes to the masters.

You need a master to control you light and the remote is used if you want to control the same light from another location(like a 3way application).

I am trying to place a Wifi master dimmer switch ADTH700RMTUW1. I bought a LED PENDANT LIGHT THAT IS DIMMABLE from amazon.  I installed the switch as per instructions. The old switch had a ground, a hot and a 1-pole. There was a white wire. not working

Asked by: Kpatel
The master Touch dimmer(ADTH700RMTUW1) requires a separate Neutral wire and should be installed as follows: Master: Hot - power wire from breaker Load - wire to light(your 1-pole wire) White - Neutral connection(additional white wire)

Does the Legrand Adorne ADTH700TUM2 dim to black? Or does it hit a minimum level of light and stop dimming any lower? I have experienced with the slide paddle dimmer ADPD703HW4 will only dim so low and it still gives off more light than I’d like.

Asked by: RyGuy
The universal dimmer should dim to off but it will also depend on the ratings on the lights you are controlling. Some LED's only dim down to 10%.

Can the 600w can be use for the led lighs dimmable

Asked by: Moyz0408
The 600W Touch master dimmer(ADTH600RMHM1) is designed for incandescent/halogen bulbs only. The universal master dimmer(ADTH700RMTUM1) is the one designed for LED's.

A master wi-fi dimmer can only be used with a wi-fi remote device in the other location for a 3way application.

Can the touch dimmer (non-WiFi or WiFi) be used as a fan control?  If not does Legrand make a touch dimmer for a ceiling fan.  Don’t want to switch out my entire house to touch switches and find out my fans have to be paddles. Which would make no sense.

Asked by: Bigben715
A dimmer is not designed to control a motor load such as a fan. You could use the Touch ON/OFF switch but you would not be able to adjust the speed of the fan. The Paddle Fan Speed control is the only option we have at this time.

Does this item or any WiFi ready switches require/need WiFI to operate? Can they function like a regular, standalone, dinning switch if we dont have a router setup at home?

Asked by: Travie
Yes you can use them as regular switches. These switches are expensive. Legrande has dimmer switches that are dimmable that are not Wi-Fi capable at a much reduced price. If you're going to get Wi-Fi in the future, get the Wi-Fi switches. They give you the capability to turn on and off your switches using an i-Phone. You can also turn on off light switches remotely, as like from your cabin. If you don't plan to get Wi-Fi, get the cheaper switches

Are ADTH700RMTUM1 light switches compatible with ANY LED strip lights? Including RGB and RGBW strip lights. If so, please list which ones. Thank you!

Asked by: DianaX
Thank you for your question regarding adorne dimmer (Model # ADTH700RMTUM1). The Touch master dimmer has not been tested with the RGB/RGBW strips and I do not see where it states that they are dimmable. I would get the exact model number of the LED's and contact us so we have see if they are compatible. adorne products 1.800.223.4185 opt 3 Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm EST
