Worked fine for me...
I read some reviews that people installed them and couldn't get them to work and even their licensed electrician couldn't get them to work. I don't know how skilled some electricians actually are, but the only thing to remember about this product is that it needs a neutral in addition to the hot and switch legs. It's clearly marked and explained. Anyone who understands simple electrical principles would know this. The night light needs a return path for its power. Depending on how your 3-way switch is wired, you may not have a neutral present. That was my case, so I used the ground for the neutral, which is perfectly safe since they're tied together at least at the breaker panel. I like the adjustable night light levels and that they turn off when there's other light present. The switch is stylish, yet simple.

Great subtle stair lighting
We installed this light at the top and bottom of a stair with a three way light. The night light portion adds just enough subtle light at night to safely see the stairs when walking past. We will definitely install these in more locations - especially stairs!

Excellent switch, incomplete instructions
The switch itself is excellent. Nice adjustable-brightness nightlight with solid construction. My only issue is the instructions. This was my first time buying a Legrand product and while the box claims to work in a single-pole scenario, instructions are not included for this. After trying a couple options, and failing to find updated install instructions on the product page, I finally read Terry S's review and was able to install it correctly. What a waste of time. I most certainly would not recommend this product to a friend if it meant they had to go through the same hassle. One of the reviews I read on Amazon complained of the same lack of single-pole install instructions in 2018 (5 years ago). Does anyone from Legrand read these comments? I understand that you can't put new paper instructions in every box already on shelves, but amending the instructions on your website should be a very easy thing for you to do.

Install Instructions Inadequate for Single Pole
Instructions are non-existent for single pole install. Instructions state that a separate neutral is need but no indication where to connect it. I have connected hundreds of three and four way switches without issue but the instructions for this will instantly trip a breaker. If I can’t get help from the 800 number it is going back. Very frustrating. Lots and f time wasted.

Would have chosen other brand if not for the color
Wiring instructions for 3-way only - had to find single switch instructions on YouTube.
Inclined to press led instead of less visible paddle to turn light on.

Works great ... wiring diagram, not so much
Several reviewers mentioned the confusing wiring diagram, they are 100% correct. I'd give it 5 stars if the wiring instructions were better. A You Tube video on 3 way switch installation and a volt/ohm meter made it easy. I installed this 3 way switch (with built-in night light) as a replacement in a dark hall. Works exactly as advertised. I like the photo sensor for the light; it works wells.
PS. Use of the white (common) wire on the Legrand NLT873 is required.

Works Great
I've installed this switch in my home at two location. One on a three way hall light and another in the bath room. Both are excellent choices for a night light. Adjustable light output for perfect night lighting. Off in day, on at night. Use your ohm meter if you can't decipher the instructions.

Great, but does have one flaw!
I bought these and I really enjoy them. My house is really dark at night and tough to navigate without turning lots of lights on. One thing I noticed that kind of irked me was that I bought one to put at front door where my front porch light switch is. However when I want to turn my front porch light on at night the night light shuts off thus making the night light useless. Was curious if there was anyway around this. Besides that they look and work great for me!

The light switch portion of the night light operates backwards. Down is on and up is off. How do I correct this?

Sorry to hear about the problem you're having it sounds like this switch is in a 3 way application and by swapping the traveler wires between the single pole and 3-way on the switch should correct this.

my light fixture is flashing and will not turn off - the night light works ok
The Nighlight switch does require a separate Neutral wire for both to function correctly. Attached is a single pole diagram to confirm your wiring. Contact Technical Support is you still need assistance getting it to work.

Will this work with LED lights?
No these do not work when you have LED light bulbs in the fixture that this switch will be controlling.

I am having trouble getting the night light to stay on. I have cycled through the different light intensities but the light will not stay on.
The light is only designed to stay on when it is dark in the room or area where it is installed.

I have switch plate covers that match my decor and don't want to use screwless plates that won't match. Can I use my plates with your switch?

I've never had one of these fail and have installed a bunch in my different houses. Recently the nightlight stopped working in our bathroom. Is there a way to replace the nightlight part or diagnose what's wrong or do I just have to replace it all?
The nighlight is not repairable so I would suggest contacting Legrand Technical Support to see about getting it replaced:
