Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking outlets These match the 15A Legrand Radiant outlets perfectly. The shipping was quick, and I've already installed 15 of these, with just a couple more to go. No issues at all so far. One thing of note, make sure you don't force your plugs into these outlets; they're tamper-resistant (TR), so it may seem like you need to force the plugs to get them in. If a plug is struggling to get in, rather than force it, just move it around a bit or try again. Also, before you install them, take a phone charger or something and plug/unplug them from the outlet a few times to "break in" or "loosen up" the TR tabs, and that will make your first couple of plug-ins much easier.

How does the dual mechanical shutter system work?  I can not plug my three prong plug into the outlet?

When equal pressure is applied by the prongs from a 2 or 3 prong plug, the shutter opens. If that is not happening, contact Technical Support for assistance: Radiant/Pass & Seymour products 1.800.223-4162 opt 3 Mon - Fri: 8am - 6pm EST (excluding holidays)

What is the difference between the radiant collection and the regular?

The Radiant line of matching devices have Legrand embossed on the devices and are available in the Metallic finishes, where the "regular" devices are not.

Is the color on the nickel finish just on the surface or throughout the material?

It is a painted Nickel finish that is done on the entire face portion of the receptacle.
