Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Review - Devices vs Software Well, lets start with the hardware. The switches are really beautiful. They look great and perform great - NO complaints. The Lighting controller generally works fine as well. Not really any issues with it. Sort of like a router - set it and forget it. The SOFTWARE on the other hand is not great. The conversion to the Legrand cloud was painful but I understand it was necessary. It has gotten better but I still find that there are times when I am away from my house that I have to trigger lights two or three times before they respond which kind of defeats the purpose of haveing a lighting control system. The app itself is old looking, outdated and has very limited functionality. I noticed that Legrand has started to provide newere apps BUT they don't work with the Adorne wifi lights - HUH? Why would you not make your new apps work with your most expensive, flagship switches? Also, they support Alexa and Google but NOT Apple Homekit? No, for that you have to once again switch to a different range of Legrand switches that are horribly ugly. C'mon, you can't update this Lighting controller to work with Homekit? If not then introduce a new one that does. When I contacted Legrand they fed me a line that the Adorne line is for upscale home automation systems but if that is true why did I purchase a bunch of the switches at Lowes? So 5 stars for the look and quality of the hardware - 1 star for lack of backward compatability and a poor user experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Apple HomeKit integration This product does offer basic control of your lights via their app. However... if you are expecting integration with Apple HomeKit and Siri this product is not compatible and extremely out of date. It’s about time this got replaced with an updated version for everyone waiting for HomeKit integration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Remote features and Alexa integration broken As of mid-2019, when Legrand switched their cloud provider from Artik to the Legrand cloud, all the remote features broke. Cannot control your lights from the app when you are not home (i.e. not on your home Wi-Fi network). Alexa integration is broken. Sometimes the Alexa commands work, but 90% of the time they don't. Even disabling and re-enabling the Legrand skill in the Alexa app doesn't fix it. Factory resetting the hub doesn't fix it. Nothing fixes it, the Legrand cloud is broken. Thousands of dollars worth of renovating the house with "smart Wi-Fi" switches suddenly became worthless. It's worth noting that before the cloud switch, things worked flawlessly. Alexa integration never failed. Remote control through the Legrand app worked just fine. I hope this means that the product will eventually deliver on its promised features through software updates some day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works only by itself. No smart speaker! Worked fine with the Samsung cloud and then that died. The Legrand cloud hates everything. No Alexa or HomeKit. I would love hear how anyone can make it work reliably with Alexa again. Horrible!!

Questions & Answers

I have a client with the On-Q system and controller (sold by the electrician) and a Savant Smart Home system (sold by us.) The electrician sold the system to the client claiming it was compatible with Savant, but I have been unable to locate a profile.

Asked by: Custom HomeInstaller
RFLC lighting control is not currently compatible with Savant. The available drivers are the only systems with which we are currently integrated.

Legrand website does not list all the coordinating products that existed for RF systems. Are these systems being discontinued? Will Legrand support systems and update the app to continue to work with new OS's or just abandon existing customers?

Asked by: texzen
The Radiant and adorne RFLC line of devices that work with the LC7001 are not being discontinued.

My Legrand doesn't connect to my EERO wifi mesh, what might be the issue here?

Asked by: abathen
The two devices (EERO and LC7001) should work together without issue. The one thing we encounter with a number of different routers is the “System not discovered” error message which usually indicates a network issue. My suggestion for that is to reboot the wireless router. If the device isn’t showing connected after the reboot, confirm that the network cable between the router and hub is good. LC2 light on back of hub is flashing amber. iOS app won’t connect locally. It will sometimes connect remote, and I see my lights listed correctly, but control does not work. Alexa stopped working. I have been on Eliot successfully for a while. Solution?

Asked by: rnberk
The LC2 port will be amber if it is not connecting to your wi-fi devices so I would try power cycling it and your wi-fi router. If you still need assistance, please contact Technical Support to troubleshoot the issue. 1.800.223.4162 opt 3 Mon - Fri: 7:30am - 6:30pm EST

Purchased during a repair when installed MANY legrand WiFi switches. Now trying to set-up, but it’s not recognizing any switches.  See these terrible reviews. Are connectivity issues fixed? App fixed? HomeKit compatible like other legrand says it now is?

Ever since Samsung cloud stopped this Legrand hub will not keep working with Alexa. Very buggy. Now I find out it will not work with HomeKit. Anyone have fix for this?

Asked by: Siloguy
Did this hub EVER work with Homekit? This is my biggest gripe. These are beautiful switches with a crummy app. I would love to have them work with Homekit because of its lovely interface and EVEN more important its ability to geofence. The ability to have the lights turn off or on based upon my location would be awesome.

Are you ver going to upgrade to accomodate Apple Home?

Asked by: Ralph
The simple answer is no. I have an excellent wi-ffi system via Eero and a very good router which works well with Eero. In addition, I have multiple Legrande Adorne wireless switches (4) which work for controlling front door lights (2 switches), garage lights (1) and a towel warmer (1). The Adorne system works well once you get the cloud to work correctly. It has some major flaws in it that at present are not being addressed due to Samsung not really stepping up. I found a back door to make it work but before I could get the cloud to work I discovered that I needed an additional wireless repeated MRR@ to improve the coverage in my house. Once I got the cloud to work that issue was resolved but I still put in the wireless repeater since it offered more protection and delivery of the time settings. Overall, I find that the system works great and I am not interested in making this work with either my Amazon dot(s) or with Google or for that matter Apple Home. My reasoning is simple the less outside interference the better. I hope this is of some help to you.
