Questions & Answers

Can I use a separate feed for the light and the fan? I only need the 3-way switch for the light and my 3-wire cable from the light/fan lands at the LSCLDC163PW switch, which only has a single feed for both. If so, can you provide a wire diagram?

Asked by: tcjumps
The LSCLDC163PW dual controller is only rated and designed for use with one HOT line for both light and fan.

Does the maximum LED wattage of 150W mean the rated incandescent luminance equivalent of the bulb or the actual electrical wattage? For example, a typical LED bulb with a light output rating of 40W and an electrical power of 4W, which value is considered?

Asked by: Eddie
It's rated for the actual wattage on the LED bulbs

why do my lights flicker when you try to dim them?

Asked by: bill
This dimmer is rated for 150W LED & CFL; 300W Incandescent bulbs so I would first check the type of lights you are controlling with it. It also has a calibration wheel to adjust for low end flicker to try. Pass & Seymour products 1.800.223-4185 opt 1 Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm EST (excluding holidays) Email Us - tech.support@legrand.us

I have installed LSCLDC163PWCCV4 switches so we can use led lights. For some reason the led lights are flickering like crazy. They are GE basic leds, GE Reveal leds, and Walmart leds, all 5 or 5.5 actual watts. Everything flickers. Can you help?

Asked by: joi2
I would suggest contacting Technical Support so they can assist in troubleshooting the cause for the flickering. Pass & Seymour products 1.800.223-4185 opt 1 Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm EST (excluding holidays) Email Us - tech.support@legrand.us

My ceiling fan has a 3-way light switch and 3-way fan switch on each end of the room. I want to dim the lights and adjust the fan speed at the wall switches. Can I replace the 3-way light and 3-way fan switch on each end of the room with LSCLDC163P ?

Asked by: Homer
The LSCLDC163P can only be used at one end of your 3way. The other side would have to be 3way switches(like the RCD33, stacked switches).

I installed a fan with a light on patio. I have a 3-way switch, one in the kitchen and one in master bedroom that control the fan. I need a dual fan/light 3-way. Do they exist? Will this work?

Asked by: NotAnElectricial
The dual controller(LSCLDC163PW) can be used on one side of your 3way and a standard 3way switch(s) on the other end(RCD33W for example).

Can you use this switch to operate and dim two LED light fixtures instead of the fan?

Asked by: Mike
The dual controller is designed for one light circuit and one fan circuit only. The fan control will not work correctly on a light load.

My son bought two of these fan light controls for his great room. The wiring diagram shows it like a 4 way switch between 2 3 ways but it is labeled so that the switch legs from the 3 ways both go to the lights but pic shows one to the fan?

Asked by: lag7662
Hello, The LSCLDC163P is a dimmer on the left and fan speed control on the right. You can wire a light fixture single pole or 3 way,the fan can also be configured in a single pole or 3 way configuration. It needs to be on the HOT side to be able to feed both dimmer and fan speed control. You can not have 2 LSCLDC163P in the same circuit. Hope this helps, Have a great day

Can this control be used to control fan speed and dim lights using only 12-2 wire

Asked by: 1955chevy
Thank you for your question regarding the LS Series Single-Pole/3-WAY Preset Dimmer W/ Single-Pole/3-WAY Preset De-Hummer Fan Control, WHITE(Model # LSCLDC163PW). You need at least 12-3 wire to control both the light and fan separately. You can power both from one HOT lead, but you need separate LOAD wires for the light and fan to work properly.

Can the fan and light sides be split/wired differently (single pole fan with 3-way light)? I'd like to have a second light switch near an exterior door (with an existing 3-way switch), but a single location to control the fan (at this unit) would be fine.

Asked by: Eric
Thank you for your question regarding Pass & Seymour Dual Fan and Dimmer control(Model # LSCLDC163PW). Yes, you have both options for the dimmer and fan control. They can be used either was, Single Pole or 3way for each one. You can have both single pole, both 3way, or one SP and the other 3way.

I am looking for a switch like this that can handle two lights with dimming. One with LED and one with Incandescent. The LED dimmer side would work fine but could the FAN side even with only three resets work for incandescent (2-75 watt lights)?

Asked by: MSC123
We do not offer any dual dimmers for lighting. This model is designed specifically for a motor load on one side and the other side is for a lighting load.

The LSCLDC163PW is not part of the Radiant line so it is not available in Nickel. The available color options are Black, Brown, Ivory, Light Almond and White.
