Amber does not keep you awake
I switched out our night lights that have standard blue LEDs for the amber. Amber does not disrupt sleep patterns. The adjustable levels make it easy to tune the light level depending on the location.

Night Vision-friendly Amber
Amber is the ideal color for a night light because it preserves your night vision (while still allowing you to distinguish colors) and doesnt upset your "body clock" the way blue-ish light does. I have installed dozens of these, and would replace every outlet in my own home if the price came down a bit...
I wish they were in stores, though. This website claims these are available at Home Depot and Lowes in my town but that is false. All the in-store displays have the cold-white LEDs and the managers are dumbfounded when I ask if I can get the amber version there.
If you use the included louver to shield the direct light from your eyes (a really good idea) try to get the version that doesnt have the Legrand logo partially blocking the louver.
I use these along with the Amber Full night light and highly recommend them both. Would love to see an amber GFCI nightlight, too.

Is available GFCI with amber color ?
The GFCI is only available with a white nightlight as this time.

my light just flashes and does not stay lit. what's up?
Does it happen at all intensities, and is it affected by room light? If the internal photocell is being overwhelmed by the LED it may be a manufacturing defect so have it replaced. Since the Amber versions arent sold in stores you have to ship it back to Legrand.

Can you still get the older-style louver that isnt partially blocked by the Legrand logo? What a bad idea that was.
We no longer have the Louver without the Legrand logo.
