Maximize safety, in style, with GFCI protection featuring the sleek, clean lines of radiant. GFCI protection is required by code in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, basements, outdoor areas, and for any other outlets found within six feet of a sink or water source. GFCI outlets should always be used when replacing existing GFCI outlets during renovation. Made exclusively for use with screwless Wall Plates from the radiant® Collection, sold separately. Spec-Grade devices are engineered to meet federal specifications for use in commercial installations.

Features

  • Protects against shock caused by ground-fault occurrences. Unlike breaker alternatives, GFCI receptacles make it easier to fix trips with a reset button right on the device.
  • Conducts an industry-leading automatic self-test every 3 seconds. If the device ever fails, the indicator light flashes to signal it should be replaced.
  • Equipped with proven SafeLock protection feature: if critical components are damaged and protection is lost, power to the outlet is disconnected.
  • Extends GFCI protection to "downstream" outlets when used with feed-thru wiring configuration. Note: Will cut power to face and downstream outlets if wired incorrectly.
  • Protects children with a patented tamper-resistant shutter system that prevents improper insertion of foreign objects, complete with "invisi-shutters" for an invisible effect.

Well I advance and buy this product took it home and my boyfriend was like this is awesome. Needless to say we took out the old one in our kitchen and replaced it with this and haven't had a problem since.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outlet Fixture Very well made. Really easy to install with not alot of reading to do to figure it out but it's best to have an electrician install it. Love the dark brown color and cleans easily with a cloth. I reccommend it if you are looking for an outlet of this nature.

If you are looking to make your room look that much more beautiful I would recommend putting one of these outlets in!

I used this one for the kitchen near the sink, and it compliments the sterling silver appliances nicely. The install wasn't hard, but do get a professional if you don't have any electrical background. Very high quality material. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Choosing between the typical white, black, and grey hasn't been a good experience. However, this safe and secure outlet matches well, and the frequency of its self test feature is a comfort. Installation was easy. I have already purchased one more for the downstairs half bath.
