Questions & Answers
Can the W series motion detector control a DC motor fractional horsepower (.31A/120VAC) exhaust fan along with lighting in the same room
Hi,
The W series sensors have been discontinued and are no longer available. We recommend the UT-300 sensor as a replacement which also includes isolated NO/NC dry contact outputs to trigger a fan power pack when the sensor is tripped.

Hi Tony,
The w-500A is an obsolete sensor, the direct replacement is the UT-300-1

what is an override pin>
The W Series sensors come with an external pin in the package that needs to be inserted into the sensor to bypass sensor operation. Unfortunately, these sensors are discontinued, and we do not have stock to replace lost pins if required.

There is a 10 second delay between my W-500 sensor sensing me and the lights coming on. The sensor is directly inside of the bathroom door, it sees me when the door is opening, and then takes roughly 10 seconds for the lights to come on.
Good evening
This is most likely an issue with the sensor. There are three wires that connects the sensor to the power pack. Red=24volts, black=common, and the blue=24 volts return back to the power pack to open and close the relay. At the power pack disconnect from the sensor the red and blue wire which should turn off the lights and then tie them together to see if the lights come on right away. If they do wait a few minutes to see if there is any changes. If not connect the blue and red wires back to the sensor. If the issue you had still exist power down the circuit to the power pack for about 30 seconds. Once that's done it should reset the power pack and the sensor. I the issue still exist then there's a problem with the sensor response to a motion trigger and will need to be replaced.
