From bedrooms to basements, this motion sensor switch is perfect for anywhere you might want to worry (or waste electricity) less. A conveniently modern light switch, it features combination control that allows you to manually turn lights on when entering a room, and then automatically turns the lights off for you when you leave. Use this device on its own to control a light or fixture from a single location one location, or combine with additional switches for controlling a single light source from multiple locations in 3 or 4-way applications.

This switch* features enduring Microban® antimicrobial technology that works to reduce the growth of bacteria, around the clock, for the lifespan of the product.

* Existing inventory of switches, dimmers and plastic wall plates from the adorne® Collection at some partner locations may not yet include Microban® protection. To confirm that a specific Legrand product is protected with Microban®, check that the exterior of the product packaging includes a green dot or a "Protected with Microban" label.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works - requires the same model for multi-way I found these worked well. I didn't realize at first that the second multi-switch must the same model, not another model or a simple 3/4 way switch. I also found that the switch didn't work well w/o adjusting the time settings. The switch would either conflict or run into a race condition where both switched switched "off" at the same time and it sent both switches into a non-functioning mode - button didn't work at all. Resetting the switch (manually) or via a power-off, and power-on (breaker) appeared to reset the switches, and both would work once, and then go into a hung mode. Adjusting the timing of the switches via the documentation so that they were not using the default times from the factory, caused both switches to work great. I have not tried to connect the white wire to make the light work yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This switch does not operate correctly. This Adorne sensor switch is poorly engineered. This sensor switches activates randomly throughout the day and night. I have replaced the “automatic” sensor switch twice, and they all randomly switch on and off. How can a reputatable manufacturer market a switch that does not even operate correctly?

For a three way operation, can I have a non motion switch on the other gang or do I need to have both motion switches on each end?

Hello, Both locations will have to be the ASVS12W4 Vacancy sensors in order for them to work in a 3 way. If You want a motion sensor the model is ASOS32W4, You will need two of the same device in order for them to work in a 3 way. Hope this helps, Have a great day.

can this be paired with a half switch in the one-gang plus wall plate? I tried a half switch with a softap and the back of the softap was too large.

The sensor back body is too large for it to fit in the 1 gang+ wallplate with the 1/2 size Paddle switch. You can use the Paddle or Whisper mechanical switches because their body is standard size.

Can the length of time the light is on be adjusted?

I need 2 switches in 1 place, believe it's called 2 gang. the motion sensor switch manual for bathroom light, and timer switch for heating lamp can those be placed next to one another, with one wall plate -of course 2 holes?

How long does the sensor stay on at max and minimum settings? How far is the sensor range?

Thank you for your question regarding the adorne Manual ON/Auto OFF Motion Sensor Switch(Model # ASVS12M4). The vacancy sensor has an Adjustable Time Delay - 5 sec (test mode), 5 minute min to 30 minute max setting and it has a maximum coverage range of 180 degrees and a coverage area of 600 sq. ft. Minor motion has a range up to 20' and major motion has a range up to 35'.
