Your wire diagram is confusing. Am I using 3 total switches. And how is the fan separated in this diagram . I want to 3-way the light only and have the fan on a single pole with speed control. Also do I need 3 separate powers to do this

Asked by: Chris48
This device needs to be on the LINE(hot) side of your 3way with power going to the Black wire and it will provide power to both fan and light control. The two Yellow wires would connect to your traveler wires for your 3way light and one Red wire would be connected to your fan(one Red is capped off). Can this control 2 separate fan only fans

Asked by: Mr Safeway
The dimmer portion of the dual controller is not rated to handle a motor load(fan) so it will not work to control two fans.

I have a ceiling fan with a light in the wall it has a white and a black and copper wire. It does not have any red or yellow wires. Does this model work with that wire setup

Asked by: Phil9699
You need at least three wires(1 HOT & 2 LOAD wires), plus ground for this dual controller to be able to turn your light and fan on separately.

I installed using single pole diagram and the both switches turn on both the light and fan. I would like them to operate independently (light only turns on light and fan only controls fan). What am I missing or how should I wire differently?

Asked by: Mikec
I would suggest contacting Technical Support to go over the correct wiring for this dual controller. Your load wires(fan & light) need to be separated and your light wire goes to the yellow wire and your fan wire goes to the red wire(non-flagged wires). I have a fan/ light unit. Will this switch control it. There isn’t a second switch for it so I am not sure about the 3 way labeling.

Asked by: Doug12345
Yes this switch will work. It can be wired for single pole or three way circuits. The diagrams in the instructions will demonstrate how. This switch is rated for incandescent bulbs.

Installed 2 Lincoln park turn of the century ceiling fans(part#20531). Installed dimmer/fan control switch LEGRAND(model#LSCLDC163PWCCV4) When I press the fan on/off switch, a short flash comes from the light. Both fans act the same

Hello, Is the LS series dual fan control and dimmer compatible with a different switch on a 3 way. Basically, I have a ceiling fan and light combo on a 3 way switch and want to connect the LS series at one switch and use just a fan control at the other

Asked by: Ryan
The LS series control is compatible with three way wiring applications. The directions that come with the device include a wiring diagram to illustrate an example of three way wiring.

Can this be used simply to control 2 lights (no fan), assuming they use the same neutral?

Asked by: Ed_Audio
The fan side of this device is not rated to control any type of light load so it will not dim properly.

Can I hook the fan control and dimmer switch up to a single pole switch with just a hot and neutral wire only with no Travelers

Asked by: Marc
The dimmer can only be wired per the instructions included with the device. You could wire it up to a fan and light itself or in unison with a three way switch.

Hello, I want to control 2 led lights, instead of a light and a fan. Is it possible to configure the fan control to act like the light side? If not, do you have a product that will dim 2 led lights?

Asked by: doug
We do not offer a device that can dim 2 separate LED lights from one unit.

I have a fan w/light and need to control both from 2 switches/3way. Your instructions seem to indicate this switch is used in conjunction with 2 single pole switches. Am I missing something as the yellow and red go to switches in the instructions.

Asked by: BDBean
Thank you for your question regarding LS Series Dual Fan Speed Control/Dimmer, White (LSDC163PWV). When using this device to control both the light and fan in a 3way application, you would need a 3way switch for the light and a 3way switch for the fan on the other end of the circuit.

Hello, I have an older style round dimmer switch for my ceiling fan with light. The current switch has 1 black, 1 red, 1 white, and a ground connected to it. How do I install the new switch?

Asked by: JoeS
Thank you for your question regarding Pass & Seymour Dual Dimmer & Fan control. This device is designed to control the light and fan separately so your HOT wire would to the black wire, your light wire would go to the yellow wire, and your fan wire would go to the red wire for a single pole application. You will have a red and yellow wire that will get capped off(only used in a 3way). Pass & Seymour products 1.800.223-4162 opt 3 Mon - Fri: 8am - 8pm EST (excluding holidays)

Installed dual control switch with Nutone model 860 exhaust fan. The fan operates only when toggle switch on on and slider is in highest selection. In other words, low and medium fan speeds do not work - only high speed.
