Very safe and effective
I was almost ready to return it because it did not fit into the small metal wall box with the old BX cable wiring in my 1939 house. Someone suggested using a Wire-mold surface box with pigtails connecting to the ancient wiring. It worked and we love the new GFCI switch.

This switch was just what the doctor ordered.
The switch with its multiple functions addressed ALL of my requirements. Its simple design allowed me to install it in the original electrical box without making any alterations.

up/down is better than left/right
A vertical switch makes it clear whether it's on or off -- other switches are often horizontal, and for some reason I can't remember whether left or right is on!

Questions & Answers
Want to just use this as a switch for the outlet ( turn the pool filter on and off with it plugged in ). I still have the two wires non connected. The plug works just not the switch to turn the plug off. No diagram shows this option.
To have the switch control the power to the outlet, you need to connect the wire as follows using the 2 black leads from the switch:
One black lead to HOT from breaker
One black lead to HOT terminal - line side of GFCI
White Neutral wires get connected to Silver terminal on line side of GFCI.
