Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 Scene Pocket Remote Control with Netatmo The 4 scene pocket remote is a handheld device. It is very convenient way to "light up" your home as you enter it. If you have WiFi Netatmo light switches installed in the rooms of your home, you can assign (program the lights to either come on or off) them to one of the pocket remotes numbered buttons, for example, button # 1. When you enter your home you simply press button # 1 and all the assigned lights come on, making entry at night safer. You can assign the same room lights to, for example, button # 2, and program the lights to turn off. Another use I found was when my wife recently had knee replacement surgery, and for the first few weeks she was in need of "special assistance." Using the pocket remote, my wife simply had to press button #1, individual room lights would turn on throughout the house, and I knew she was in need of assistance. This turned out to be very helpful. You can pair the pocket remote with the Wireless Smart Scent Switch with Netatmo (WNACB40). This switch is similar in function to the pocket remote (has the same 4 scene buttons). It is essentially a "faceplate", requires no electrical box, and can be simply attached to a wall. Mount this switch on the wall in close proximity to the entrance door, and as you walk into the house press the button to turn on all the lights. Leave the pocket remote, say in the bedroom, where you can then turn off all the lights using the assigned "off button. It is some slick technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from need instructions this item works fine, there need to be a better set of step by step instructions in order to program the system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netatmo - Great first step in home automation Netatmo gateway is a great way to automate your light controls and useful tool in your home automation toolbox. Setting up the gateway on the wifi takes a few tries but once complete (2.4GHz only) adding additional Netatmo capable switches and dimmers is a breeze. Overall I highly recommend the Netatmo solution and wish they add more products such and light bulbs, tape lights, etc. to their portfolio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Dimmers and Netatmo Gateway This product works well and even resolved an issue with a (hidden and less accessible) dimmer switch inside a cabinet by pairing it with a wireless remote dimmer placed along side other wired dimmers on a wall using a 5 gang cover. It doesn't even appear differently. It was the perfect solution and far less complicated than adding more wiring somewhere else. We installed multiple smart dimmers through the house and are very satisfied with the performance so far (only one month of use so far).

Questions & Answers

Does the indicator light stay lit when the switch is off like the wired versions?

Asked by: Michael
For the battery powered Wireless Smart Switch, the locator light is used during onboarding. Once onboarded, the indicator light does not stay on when the switch is off. The indicator light staying on when in the off position could shorten the battery life, and we want to ensure a long battery life of our wireless smart switches.

Is there a maximum distance from the Netatmo gateway to furthest switch. If yes what is it. And how far apart can each switch be from each other

Asked by: martin
Netatmo is a mesh network that expands with every device you add so there isn't a maximum distance to the furthest switch. You can have up to 99 devices on your gateway.

I already have a Legrand whole house light controller as well as 20 Adorne switches and dimmers. Can I just upgrade the whole house controller with a Netatmo gateway or would I have to start over again with all new Netatmo switches and dimmers?

Asked by: Diabolic812
You would have to start over as both platforms use completely different wireless communication technologies. You can, however have both platforms coexist in your home if need be.

How long does the battery last, and does the app provide a warning when it gets low?

Asked by: Andrew
Yes, the Home + Control app will send you a notification when the battery level is low. The notification should be sent when the battery has about 3 months of life left. That way it'll give you time to get some batteries and do the swap before the battery goes to 0%.

Can the Netatmo Smart Switch be used with a 3-way switch like the TM873W? I'm replacing switches in an existing 3-way config. I'd prefer to have my 3-way wired in and not be on batteries, as well as spend $3 instead of $36. I think the WiFi version can.

Asked by: Charlie
A Netatmo 3way would be using one WNRL10WH and one WNRL23WH. You can not use a standard 3way switch in this application.

Can this family of devices support multi-location of dimmers and/or switches?  I have an application with 6 dimming locations.

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, to dim from all of your 6 locations, you would use one WNRL50WH dimmer and 5 of the wireless WNRL63WH dimmers. https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/light-switches-and-dimmers/smart-tru-universal-dimmer-with-netatmo/p/wnrl50wh?text=wnrl50wh https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/radiant-collection/dimmers/smart-tru-universal-dimmer-with-netatmo/p/wnrl63wh

just had electrician install 2 of these side by side. When he left they were flashing amber & ready to set up. I tried to set them up but must have messed it up and now I can't get them to turn amber to save my life! please help

Asked by: lostwcs
I believe you may have the WWRL50WHCCV2 Smartlights dimmer, which blinks amber. To reset it, press and hold the minus portion of the dimmer bar for 15 seconds and it will start blinking again. Would this be able to be paired in a 3-way setup with the radiant wired remote dimmer (HMRW)? I would prefer to have a wired connection instead of the battery powered option (WNRL23/63) Are there 3-way wired options for this dimmer?

The HMR remote dimmer will not work with the Netatmo line of Wi-Fi dimmers to create a 3way.

Can (2) of these be hard wired in a 3-way configuration?

Asked by: Matt
No, to create a 3way you would use the WNRL10WH in location and the WNRL23WH(wireless switch), in the other location. The WNRL23WH is battery operated so can be installed anywhere in the home and then connected to the WNRL10WH through the Legrand APP.

Does this switch has a gentle on and off like Lutron does? or is it just on and off instantly?

Asked by: Danny R

For the HomeKit integration, will there be a Firmware update soon to allow switch 'type'? Currently, these only operate as a 'light' in HomeKit, instead of the standard switch/fan/light options typically found in the outgoing HKRL10 smart light switches.
