Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blank plate solution Bought this to cover some old phone and cable outlets because we didn't want to just put in a blank plate cover. This makes it look like there is a switch (or flat plate) in the outlet box instead, and you can then add a cover plate as the trim piece. Overall, it looks like another outlet but just isn't functional. It then matches all of the other outlets and switches/covers we have in the house so it looks much more seamless and intentional instead of just resorting to a cheap looking one piece cover plate that wouldn't have matched anything else.
