Questions & Answers

Hi my W-1000a went bad and I have no spares. I understand is discontinued. Is the UT-305-2 a direct replacement? Is it just a swap or do I need to make changes to the existing circuit.

Asked by: Anonymous
The UT-305-2 is a direct replacement. No wiring changes are necessary.

What type of pin or plug fits into the "bypass" jack to put the sensor in override mode? At this time any original spare parts are long lost and I hope a normal available item can be used in place of the originally supplied pin. Thank you

Asked by: Dave
The override jack accepts a metal 3/32" diameter pin. An alternative way to bypass the sensor would be to physically undo the control output wire and connect it directly to the 24V connection on the sensor, which would permantly put the room in "Occupied" status.

I got W-1000A sensor and the sensor range are getting less ( 1-3 feet) is this time to replace new sensor or it's power pack issue? Thanks.

Asked by: Leon Sun
That sounds like a sensor issue - the power pack appears to be working properly, but the sensor is not signaling it to turn on early enough - the sensitivity of the senosr appears to be decreasing and probably needs to be replaced.

Can I use the Wattstopper W-1000A Ultrasonic Ceiling Sensor with BZ-150 Power Pack to control multiple light circuits in the same room?

Asked by: James
The short answer is, Yes. You can wire up to 10 BZ power packs in a series. The limit of sensors per power pack will be stated in the installation document for the chosen sensor. The following wiring diagram explains how they would be wired.
