Questions & Answers

Can I configure two wired smart switches to behave as a 3 way together, or is this only for wireless switches?

Asked by: Humhu
The WNRL10 can only be used with the wireless switch(WNRL23) to create a 3way.

I already have a Legrand whole house light controller as well as 20 Adorne switches and dimmers. Can I just upgrade the whole house controller with a Netatmo gateway or would I have to start over again with all new Netatmo switches and dimmers?

Asked by: Diabolic812
You would have to start over as both platforms use completely different wireless communication technologies. You can, however have both platforms coexist in your home if need be.

How long does the battery last, and does the app provide a warning when it gets low?

Asked by: Andrew
Yes, the Home + Control app will send you a notification when the battery level is low. The notification should be sent when the battery has about 3 months of life left. That way it'll give you time to get some batteries and do the swap before the battery goes to 0%.

Can the Netatmo Smart Switch be used with a 3-way switch like the TM873W? I'm replacing switches in an existing 3-way config. I'd prefer to have my 3-way wired in and not be on batteries, as well as spend $3 instead of $36. I think the WiFi version can.

Asked by: Charlie
A Netatmo 3way would be using one WNRL10WH and one WNRL23WH. You can not use a standard 3way switch in this application.

What communications protocol does it use? And what is the temperature range it is rated for, can it be used below 0?

The WNRR20 uses a Zigbee Protocol to communicate with the Gateway and is designed for dry indoor use only.

Can this family of devices support multi-location of dimmers and/or switches? I have an application with 6 dimming locations.

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, to dim from all of your 6 locations, you would use one WNRL50WH dimmer and 5 of the wireless WNRL63WH dimmers. https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/light-switches-and-dimmers/smart-tru-universal-dimmer-with-netatmo/p/wnrl50wh?text=wnrl50wh https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/radiant-collection/dimmers/smart-tru-universal-dimmer-with-netatmo/p/wnrl63wh

just had electrician install 2 of these side by side. When he left they were flashing amber & ready to set up. I tried to set them up but must have messed it up and now I can't get them to turn amber to save my life! please help

Asked by: lostwcs
I believe you may have the WWRL50WHCCV2 Smartlights dimmer, which blinks amber. To reset it, press and hold the minus portion of the dimmer bar for 15 seconds and it will start blinking again. Would this be able to be paired in a 3-way setup with the radiant wired remote dimmer (HMRW)? I would prefer to have a wired connection instead of the battery powered option (WNRL23/63) Are there 3-way wired options for this dimmer?

Asked by: Matt94
The HMR remote dimmer will not work with the Netatmo line of Wi-Fi dimmers to create a 3way.

Can (2) of these be hard wired in a 3-way configuration?

Asked by: Matt
No, to create a 3way you would use the WNRL10WH in location and the WNRL23WH(wireless switch), in the other location. The WNRL23WH is battery operated so can be installed anywhere in the home and then connected to the WNRL10WH through the Legrand APP.

downloaded Legrand App and it tells me iCould is synchronizing. But it never synchonizes.

Asked by: Ross Hider
You also need one of the Netatmo Gateways(WNRH1WH) installed to link up the dimmer through the Legrand APP. Hello, I bought this product and I want to make it 3-way (being able to control the lights at 2 different locations). I was hoping that you could show the product that is needed to make this a working 3-way. I know its not 2 of these switches.

Asked by: Ethan
The WNRL50WH can be paired with either the WNRL63WH Wireless dimmer or the WNRL23WH Wireless switch to complete your 3way application. https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/radiant-collection/dimmers/smart-tru-universal-dimmer-with-netatmo/p/wnrl63wh?text=wnrl63wh https://www.legrand.us/wiring-devices/radiant-collection/smart-lighting/wireless-smart-switch-with-netatmo/p/wnrl23wh?text=wnrl23wh

Does this switch has a gentle on and off like Lutron does? or is it just on and off instantly?

Asked by: Danny R

For the HomeKit integration, will there be a Firmware update soon to allow switch 'type'? Currently, these only operate as a 'light' in HomeKit, instead of the standard switch/fan/light options typically found in the outgoing HKRL10 smart light switches.
