Is the tablet holder permanently installed or could homeowner easily remove it and put back up as needed?

The tablet holder is not permanently attached. There is a tab on the holder that slots into the track at any point. Easy to use, and very useful.

My tablet and phone cradles will not stay on the track. They will hang, but fall off easily. What am I doing wrong?

If the cradle does not stay in place, it sounds like the track system was installed too far away from your wall to provide enough support for the cradle to hang in place.
