Is there some strain relief for a ¼" diameter cord

Good Morning, Yes, there are quite a few options available. Unfortunately, you would need to be more specific on what you are looking for in order for us to suggest one. Material, NPT size, dust-tight or liquid-tight, etc. would be needed. Sorry about that. Have a great day!
