Questions & Answers

I have a new LMCT-100-2 and I simply cannot figure out what setting needs to be set for auto on when I walk in a room. Currently, I must press the physical light switch. I am in Load 1 settings and it says "auto On" but that is not working

Asked by: Jenny Kropf
For the LMCT-100-2, the occupancy sensor must be configured in two places to enable Auto On functionality. 🔹 Load Binding – First, confirm that the occupancy sensor is bound to the correct load. This can be done under Load Binding. The blue LED will be solid when the load is bound correctly. You can use the Occ Bind option to toggle the binding on or off for that load. 🔹 Load Settings – Next, go to Load Settings and set the Operation to Auto On. This ensures the sensor will automatically turn the lights on when it detects occupancy. 🔹 Presentation Mode – Keep in mind that if the wall switch is manually turned off, the system assumes the user wants the lights off. In that case, the sensor will hold the lights off until the time delay expires. Once that delay ends, the sensor will return to Auto On mode. If someone enters the room before the time delay is finished, the sensor will reset the timer and continue holding the lights off. Best Practice: For consistent Auto On performance, it’s recommended to let the sensor control shutoff rather than manually turning the lights off when leaving the room.

I am needing to set certain parameters for my lighting. I need to be able to program the lights to stay on during normal buisness hours and then turn on via the occupancy sensor after hours. Will this be able to achieve the program I'm requiring?

Asked by: Anonymous
The LMCT-100-2 is a handheld configuration tool used to program and adjust devices within a Digital Lighting Management (DLM) system. To achieve the scheduling functionality you’re describing, you would need a device capable of storing and running time-based events, such as an LMCP Lighting Control Panel or an LMZC-301 Zone Controller. These controllers include the built-in clock and scheduling features necessary to create “Normal Hours” and “After Hours” events. With this setup, your system can be programmed to keep lights on during business hours and then switch to occupancy-based control after hours. Additionally, connected devices—such as occupancy sensors—can be configured to behave differently depending on the time of day. For additional questions or guidance, we recommend contacting Wattstopper Technical Support for further assistance.

Rocker button will briefly stop at Preset level, before powering all the way up to full. Cannot get dim setting to stop at Preset level, even when this is selected from the load settings.

Asked by: Mike
This is not necessarily an issue with the LMCT-100. Please contact Wattstopper Technical Support for troubleshooting assistance @ 800-879-8585

Would this replace HCLK8SS? If not what is an alternative?

Asked by: BHIDoug24
The LMCT-100-2 is a commissioning tool specifically designed for the Digital Lighting Management (DLM) product line. The HCLK8SS, on the other hand, is a programming controller for the Lighting Integrator (LI) product line, which has been discontinued along with the HCLK8SS. Unfortunately, there is no direct replacement for the HCLK8SS or the LI panel components. However, we recommend upgrading your panel to our DLM system. We offer retrofit kits for the LI panel that can be used to upgrade it to a DLM panel.

We are looking for the windows device driver for windows to recognized the device. Can you help point us in the correct location?

Asked by: Chad
To update the LMCT-100-2 firmware on a Windows PC, ensure you have: -A USB to micro-USB cable for charging and data transfer. -A Windows-operated PC. -STM Cube Programmer from STMicroelectronics (for Windows 11). If you encounter errors, use the DfuSE Demo Software instead. -The firmware file for the LMCT-100-2. The device driver should automatically install from the Windows Driver Database when connected to your PC. If issues arise with STM Cube Programmer, the DfuSE Demo Software is a recommended alternative.

I need to update the firmware on a LMCT-100-2. Instructions say to use DfuSe Demo software. Where do I download that from?

Asked by: Nate
Due to the complexity of updating the firmware of LMCT-100-2, we recommend contacting Technical Support, using 1-800-879-8585 option 3 then option 1, to discuss the process and obtain the current firmware file.
